.. "Er me beu!" ... "My beauty!"
My grandmother welcomed me like this when I went to visit her. Words that have always given me warmth and hospitality. Warmth and hospitality with which I propose this comfortable apartment in Riomaggiore, for a delightful holiday, in one of the villages of the Cinque Terre, which is perched between the cliffs overlooking that Ligurian Sea a little heavenly, a little blue, a slightly turquoise, rich in the most varied and populous seabed of marine fauna in all of Liguria.
The entrance of the apartment is located on the first floor of a completely renovated historic house located in Via Malborghetto 83. All rooms are located on the same floor. The living room contains a comfortable sofa, an extendable table that can be used for up to 8 people, chairs and two large furniture to be used for food and dishes. The open kitchen has a large fridge with freezer, 4-burner gas stove and electric oven, sink with drainer and wall units.
The two bedrooms are furnished one with a comfortable double bed and a large wardrobe, the other with a bunk bed. An additional bed can be provided on request. The bathroom is spacious and equipped with a large shower with mixer tap, toilet, bidet, sink with cabinet and washing machine.
The windows from the apartment overlook the Marina, the oldest and most suggestive place in the whole country.
A few minutes on foot, the beach, the beginning of the "Via dell'amore" and the main paths that allow you to reach the other villages of the Cinque Terre and Porto Venere.
The apartment is a 5-minute walk from Riomaggiore train station and the town center with its many shops, restaurants, pubs and ice cream parlors. Paid parking is only 15 minutes away.
It is suggested to prefer the train that, from Genoa, in about two hours, or from La Spezia, in about 15 minutes, will take you to the destination. The car, you will see, is not needed!
Visiting the Cinque Terre by train will be a pleasant surprise.
The towns, in fact, from Riomaggiore to Manarola, from Corniglia to Vernazza and Monterosso, will offer you an artistic landscape of pastel colored houses, the narrow yet open stone paths, the breathtaking views caressed by the sea breeze, the taste of fresh pesto and local seafood, accompanied by the aromas and flavors of regional wine.
Arrived in Riomaggiore, both by train and by car, you can reach the apartment independently or by being picked up by Sonia at the station or at the parking lot where you left your car.
Sonia will check-in, in compliance with Italian law, to register your arrival on the Italian Police website. For this reason, Sonia will need to take a photo of the valid identity document of all guests, excluding children.
As the Municipality of Riomaggiore has established a tourist tax which is applied from March to October and amounts to 2 euros per person per night for a maximum of 3 consecutive nights. Minors up to 10 years are exempted. The tax must be paid in cash on arrival.
The rental of the apartment is authorized by the Liguria Region, the province of La Spezia (resolution available on request).
