Stay in the Manor Wing, Queen Anne style 16th century house

This imposing Manor is a Queen Anne Style 16th century house which is beautifully appointed and an interior that has been sympathetically restored with character features throughout.
Self catering in the ‘Manor Wing’ for friends and family groups works very well. There’s plenty of space for everyone to relax and spend time together.

To cater for smaller groups we are able to split the accomodation in the Manor Wing into two separate self contained spaces which can cater for groups of 5 people in each space.

Please note we have a different listing to hire the whole of the Manor Wing for up to 12 people.

1. Lyde Manor Wing:
On the ground floor there is a fully fitted secret kitchen just off the huge entertaining room which has a large dining table, wood burning stove, lots of comfy sofas and flat screen TV, Bose iphone speaker and DVD player.
A wonderful spiral oak staircase leads up to the 1st floor bedrooms.
On the first floor,
'Lyde Green'(6' double plus 1 single bed) our four poster room and has a large en suite with separate bath and shower. Wonderful room and views to the front of the Manor.

The Mead - sleeps 2/3
The Mead bedroom is stylishly decorated, has a large double bed (or twin beds), en suite, two large sunny windows overlooking the front of the manor and a shower en suite.

2. Monks Retreat Apartment
On the top floor with fabulous views of the surrounding countryside in amongst the wonderful old beams of the Manor the 'Flowers' room (6' double or twin plus optional single bed) has an adjacent bathroom with bath and separate shower, ‘Monks room’ (5'double with optional 1 or 2 additional single beds) has a shower en suite.
Monk Rooms ( sleeps up to 3 )
The Monks bedroom is stylishly decorated and appointed, has a large double bed (or twin beds), en suite, and extra bed if required.

Flowers Room - sleeps 2, extra bed available
The Flowers bedroom is stylishly decorated, has a large double bed (or twin beds) and space for another bed. Private bathroom.

There is also a very comfortable double sofa bed in the upstairs sitting room adjoining a second room with twin/double bed/s and a fully fitted kitchen on the top floor.

There are two pretty court yard gardens to the front and rear of Manor Farm House.
A family room can be figured into a private area for families that will sleep up to 6
All rooms have private parking, Free WI-Fi and large lounge for relaxing in the evening.

There are two fully appointed kitchens, two lounges and garden area for guests to use.

There is so much to do in this area, Bath and Longleat Safari Park are close by. Also, Stonehenge, Avebury, Stourhead, Wells, Wookey Hole and Cheddar Caves. 15 minutes into Bath and close to a park and ride and only 15 minutes to Longleat.
The accommodation is characterful and very relaxed with lots of comfortable sofas in a large lounge and dining area, White Company linen, flat screen TV’s, fully equipped kitchens, grand oak spiral staircase, four poster room, beautiful en suites, large sunny windows, oak beams and peaceful valley views. Cots and high chairs available.
We have two wonderful farm shops close by selling high quality local produce. Discover delightful walks around our historic village and surrounding countryside. We have two wonderful pubs including the George Inn, there is also a children’s play park on the doorstep. The Heritage City of Bath is 6 miles away and offers a superb shopping experience, stunning architecture, coffee shops, comedy, arts and food festivals. Swim in Bath's natural hot waters at the Thermae Spa. We have private parking and free Wi-Fi.
