Excellent location for a holiday



Casa Irena is a spacious 4 bedroomed villa with pool just 5 minutes walk to the village. This single storey villa occupies an excellent position at the top of Rua do Farol. The property is surrounded by mature gardens and has a private heated swimming pool with terrace offering sunbeds, external dining area, BBQ and stairs to the roof terrace with superb sea views.



On entrance there is a private gated driveway with space for several vehicles. The kitchen is fully equipped and leads to a large lounge with TV and patio doors to pool area. The shallow end of the pool is 0.8 metres and the deep end is 2 metres. Pool heating is available at an additional cost if required. There are four bedrooms, 2 double and 2 twin and 3 bathrooms. All rooms are spacious.

Within easy reach on foot are two beaches, Carvoeiro and Centeanes. Restaurants, shops and bars are also just a short walk so there is no need to hire a car.

Lovely large villa. Well equipped kitchen, outdoor barbecue and plenty space for our large family. Two large seating areas outside for dining. Pool is such a plus in the heat. Short walk ( 3 mins) to nearest shop and some good restaurants. Further 10 mins down hill is a busy area with more shops and restaurants.

Really comfortable stay

We chose the villa for it’s location and were not disappointed. It’s a short walk to the nearest restaurant or shop and plenty of choice. We had a couple of problems quickly sorted. Would recommend.

Casa Irena - August 2025

We had a lovely stay at Casa Irena. The location was excellent - at the top of restaurant hill, so very convenient for exploring Carveoiro on foot. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable with modern bathrooms that were clean and fresh. The kitchen supplies were impressive - very well stocked with all the essentials, it even had an airy fryer which was a bonus! Outside, we enjoyed the good sized pool, BBQ and outdoor fridge. If we had to mention areas for improvement, the sun loungers could definitely do with replacing - they looked old and grubby and were very uncomfortable, with a bar that presses into your back when lying down. The small outdoor side tables have also seen better days and should be refreshed for a cleaner look. The main issue we had was the ants. We’re used to the occasional ant or two when staying at villas, but this seemed like on another level - there were large numbers of them in the bathrooms, all bedrooms, kitchen and all outdoor areas. We had to use ant spray daily to try and keep them under control. It felt like an infestation, which was a real downside. Due to this issue, we can only rate accommodation and cleanliness as average.
