A trip over the winding Horseshoe Pass brings you to Llangollen, home of the annual International festival Eisteddfod. Situated on the River Dee, with fishing nearby, you can enjoy walks along the towpath of the Llangollen Canal, or take a nostalgic journey on a steam train along the Dee Valley to Corwen, on the Llangollen Railway. The historic National Trust properties of Chirk Castle and Erddig are also well worth a visit, whilst day trips to the Snowdonia National Park are also possible. Shop 20 yards, pub ¼ mile and restaurant 7 miles.
