Relaxing Waterfront Cottage Near St Michaels, Maryland

Eastern Shore two bedroom cottage with dock on a quiet creek of the Chesapeake Bay in Wittman, Maryland. Surrounded by mature majestic shade trees. Beautiful water views on 3 sides and facing west with spectacular sunsets from the comfort of your screened front porch. Quiet street, ideal for relaxation and getting away from it all.

Interior remodeled/upgraded a few years ago. Bright living area incorporates: living room with two sofas and a recliner, TV with basic cable, VCR player and video collection; dining area which opens onto side deck; and a modern kitchen with silestone counter-tops, single oven, fully stocked with dishes and utensils, including toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle. Two modest sized bedrooms. Master with queen bed and sliding double doors opening directly onto front porch. Ensuite bathroom with shower and jetted soaking tub. Second bedroom with queen bed and connected bathroom with shower. Laundry room with washer and dryer. Grill (gas)on deck for use by guests, Private pool open Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Includes a portable Fire pit near private dock that has a bench to watch the wild life and sunsets.

Wireless internet access.

Enjoy crabbing and kayaking (two kayaks with vests provided) from the large dock (bring your boat - draw about 4 feet) or just relax and read or watch the water from the newly screened porch furniture. Self-contained for everything you need for a relaxing time away from home, work and the madding crowd!

Enjoy riding our 2 bikes or take a ride just 7 miles into St Michaels along 322 where you can enjoy coffee at the "Blue Heron Coffee Shop" on Talbot St. as good as you can find anywhere or dine at any one of many fine restaurants after you amble through the shops and explore the harbor. Easy access to St Michaels, Easton, Oxford.

Excellent Property

We spent a 3 day weekend here with another couple It is a great house in a very scenic location. It was very clean, the kitchen was fully equipped and we enjoyed everything about it. We would definitely recommend this property!

Maritime getaway

We enjoyed our stay very much. It was lovely to sit either on the screened in porch or in the living room and look out onto the water. It happened to be chilly & rainy during our stay but with views of the water, we didn’t even mind that.

Eastern Shore happy place

The very best thing about the cottage is its location - close to St. Michael's and Tilghman Island, but a world away from both. It was so quiet and peaceful. The cottage is comfortable and homey, well maintained, and of course, the pool is a big plus. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful Location!

The house has everything you need to make you feel at home. Perfect setting, right on the water. Great views! St. Michaels is a short 15 minute drive and has wonderful restaurants. Limoncello was one of our favorites with great food and friendly service. Would definitely stay here again when visiting the area!

Tranquil

This was a winter getaway to a very comfortable house with all the amenities on a quiet tributary of the Chesapeake. A rare vacation for and just what we wanted. Conveniently located near St Michael’s and Easton. Communication was excellent and everything was just as described. Would go back if we get the opportunity.

Charming and peaceful

We came here for the St. Michaels Running Festival. The location was perfect for navigating the morning race traffic. It was also the perfect spot to avoid the extra foot traffic. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful views

This cottage is in a great location with wonderful views from almost every window. Peaceful and away from it all. We watched sunsets from the private dock, enjoyed using the bikes, and loved that it was a short drive to the restaurants and shops in St. Michaels. Hope to return next year for Oysterfest!

Very clean, comfortable, and functional.

The house is very light with many large windows. Kitchen is large, well laid out with plenty of counter space. We were there in the winter, and the heat worked well. Lovely to see the water both in front and towards the side. Beds were comfortable. Everything seemed clean and in new condition.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this quiet, peaceful cottage on Harris Creek. The house is very clean and inviting, and stocked with just about anything you would need. This was my second time here, and I'm already planning a trip back next year. The fishing was awesome! It's a great place to be if you're a birdwatcher. The Black Water Wildlife Refuge is only an hours drive away. St. Michaels is less than 15 minutes up the road where you'll find restaurants, grocery stores, and lots of quaint little shops. Would recommend this location to anyone that is looking for a great place to relax.

Great Spot on the Shore

This was our 6th year staying at this rental, and we were able to enjoy another great family vacation. We did have a tropical depression roll in one day, which did some minor damage to the lower portion of the pier. This didn't fully impact us, but could for future guests. The property manager indicated they would address promptly. It was an excellent location, clean, and well kept.

A perfect get-away

This property is exactly like the photos- just beautifully decorated and accommodating. All you need for a relaxing get-away with a side trip to St. Michael's. Peaceful. The screened in porch is a bonus, bench on the dock for fishing or sunsets. Comfortable bed, filtered water, and lots of movies or books. The 4 star on the cleanliness was because the pool was not cleaned due to the holiday. Otherwise, perfect! We loved it.

Relaxing peace

Very peaceful and relaxing. Kayaks were fun. Pool was much enjoyed for the hot days. Master bath tub amd shower were awesome. No vanity space so used 2nd bath to get ready in and do hair. Great kitchen. Brought our bean grinder and blender. Screened porch relaxing. Used both closets and dresser to hold our clothes. Working out was great here with safe place to run outdoors, swim, kayak, and use workout app and my light weights. Slept great. Locals are super friendly. Overall great stay.

Once again I can't say enough about our stay. Mark has been amazing helping put my boat in and taking it out for me. After my surgery things are difficult for me to do. One day I even went out with Mark getting crabs on his boat. Learned so much about the waterman's way of crabbing. Debi and I enjoyed our stay this week just hanging around and relaxing at the cottage. Tried a little crabbing and fishing from the dock just enjoying the days. Can't say enough about Mark and Lacy as our hosts. Looking forward to our next stay in about 2 weeks.
