This was an amazing place to stay! The extras in the kitchen were so nice to have - cream, oatmeal, granola, sparkling sodas and gourmet coffees were above and beyond the usual fare at a VRBO!

We had a great stay here. Truly a beautiful location. Wish we could have spent more days enjoying the lovely views and covered porch. Bed was comfy and also had a great view. Communication was easy and friendly. Quiet neighborhood out of the hustle and bustle of downtown Juneau and convenient to stores, the airport, Mendenhall Glacier etc.

Absolutely wonderful! We highly recommend and could not have asked for more. It was even more beautiful than the pictures. Ela was a perfect host. There are so many personal touches for added comfort. We can't wait to stay there again.

Great property with waterfront view off back deck. Enjoy a gas fire pit while watch the eagles flying and seals splashing in the water. TV has live Hulu, if you decide you want to watch TV. Nice kitchen area if you want to prepare meals. Quiet and cozy and great location not far from grocery stores. All the attractions are a short drive away

I chose this property based on the property photos and the ratings. There was so much more to this vacation experience. The photos do not capture the true beauty of this place, it went well beyond the photos. The host Ela, was amazing and went above and beyond what other hosts have provided in my past VRBO experiences. She is truly a host. I would highly recommend staying here even if traveling solo. Everything you could need is provided including an occasional visit from Mel (Ela’s dog)

Great location and host

The Hideaway is well stocked with all you need for cooking and general needs. Ela was a great host and we had a great stay here. Auke Bay is really low key and we loved the area too. Close to Mendwnhall glacier and “out the road” towards St Therese was fun.

Fine Days in Otter's Hideaway

What a fantastic place -- beautiful view of the bay (we saw seals and porpoises), cozy and delightful apartment and a wonderful host who provided suggestions for hikes, getaways and restaurants. We would stay here again. In fact, we didn't want to leave!

This rental was absolutely perfect for our vacation to Juneau. The host and her dog (Mel) welcomed us with open arms. The rental was perfectly clean and had everything we needed and then some. The view from the deck really truly was the breathtaking views we traveled to Juneau for. We can’t wait to come back and stay again!

Otter’s Hideaway is the place to stay!

The Otter’s Hideaway was such a beautiful place to stay and our property manager, Ela, and her dog Mel were the best! The place was very clean, homey, and offered amazing views of the bay all day. Whether you’re looking for a nice retreat or just a place to stay on a part of your trip, you can’t get any better than the Otter’s Hideaway! 10/10 would definitely stay again and I’m looking forward to staying there again in the near future.

Great House
