Hillside Haven - Secluded Guest Suite with Your Own Private Spa.

Hillside Haven Guest Suite is located in beautiful Auke Bay Alaska. We are located 1/8 of a mile past the Alaska Marine Highway Ferry Dock on a secluded piece of property just steps from Auke Nu Cove, a perfect place to launch your kayak adventure, and backed by Tongass National Forest where the hiking opportunities are limitless.

Auke Bay is a great place to start your fishing day for halibut and salmon or if you prefer, a whale watching tour to watch feeding Humpback or Orca whales. Watch eagles soar over the cove or perched up in a tree from outside your window, deer eating new green shoots of grass in the spring, or the occasional black bear patrolling the area in the fall all from your front deck. Our newly built accommodation is peaceful and private with plenty of room to relax and take in the beauty of a true Alaskan experience.

My husband and I spent four days at this beautiful, comfortable, very well equipped one bedroom apartment. Teresa was a wonderful host, responding quickly to our questions and offering terrific suggestions for places to hike (the perseverance trail) places to eat (the red spruce). We will definitely stay here again when we return to Juneau.

We are so glad we stayed here. Away from the tour buses, crowds & cruise ships.Got to see Zuckerberg's Launchpad & his toy hauler Wingman. They kept moving around in the harbor. Then the Zen showed up for a play date with Launchpad, one of Mark's Alibaba buddies. Theresa, Stella & Tom are great host. Carol & Stan

This place was perfect for us! This was our first trip to Juneau and Alaska, so we wanted to get a broad picture of the area. Hillside Haven was close to plenty of amenities and services, but well away from the cruise ship crowds of downtown. We rented a car, so we were able to spend a few half days downtown enjoying the restaurants and other attractions, and the rest of the time out exploring on our own, up and down the coast, the glacier, and Douglas Island.We were able to rent a kayak and arrange a separate whale watching excursion, both at Auke Bay just a couple of miles down the road. The Alaska State Ferry terminal is also at Auke Bay, but on the northern end, so it is literally walking distance away from the suite (1/2 mile or so if I had to guess).Theresa and Tommy were the great hosts. They gave us the perfect balance of privacy to do our thing, but Theresa was always available to answer any questions about the place or the surrounding amenities in the area if we needed help.The place was clean and comfortable, and had a well appointed kitchen, bathroom and even access to a laundry room. To top it off, the steam shower / hot tub also felt really nice after spending a couple of cooler rainy days out exploring in our rain gear.We would definitely stay here again!

A lovely, spacious place to stay for our 6 days in Juneau. The location was perfect - near the airport and where our Alaska ferry arrived, and well away from the bedlam of downtown Juneau where up to five huge cruise ships arrived each day.

Juneau guest suite

The suite was very nice and clean, it was close to the ferry and close enough to town and amenities. We stayed for five nights and it was nice to have a clean, quiet place to stay after a day of hiking or other activities.

Love our tree house effect with this stay. It has just enough, is clean, comfortable. Eagles outside the window each day. Enjoy talking to the on-site owners. Good people and very accommodating. Our second stay and we will be back.

Perfect stay

This apartment is perfect. Full kitchen, with bbq’er off the front deck. Comfortable bed and lovely common area. It was close to town, but far enough to enjoy the wild of Juneau. Our host checked in on us just enough. We will be back. It was a wonderful home away from home.

Hillside Haven Guest Suite offers a relaxing get away in the Auke Bay area of Juneau. It has an enclosed steam shower with a two person whirlpool tub, full kitchen, an amazing view of Auke Nu Cove, a huge bedroom and radiant in floor heat. We are close enough that you can walk to the Alaska Marine Highway Terminal or Auke Bay recreational area. The suite is in a separate building with your own private entrance.
