Dumble Cottage at Netherton Hall

Dumble is our beautiful romantic 1 bedroom cottage with everything you could want for a holiday in the heart of beautiful Derbyshire.
Dumble is an ultra cosy comfortable cottage with a log burner and underfloor heating.


We have four cottages sleeping up to 18 people and we are located just 1 mile from Carsington reservoir with its water sports and cafes, down a quiet lane nestled in the valley with footpaths from the doorstep taking you from your back door to the historical village of Tissington or up to The Old Gate Pub in Brassington and beyond.
All our guests enjoy our large indoor heated swimming pool with stunning views across the valley whatever the weather, perfect for burning some calories or a quiet relaxing swim.
Each of our cottages are individually styled with their own character but every one is superbly comfortable and equipped with all modern conveniences including wifi as well as a log burning stove in the sitting room, all the bedding and towels are provided.
There are plenty of books, games and dvd's too.
Each cottage has a modern well-equipped kitchen and dining room and for nights off from cooking there are several excellent pubs and restaurants within walking distance or a short drive away.
The area is packed with sights to see or activities for all ages with Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Kedleston Hall and Carsington Water, Alton Towers Gullivers Kingdom as well as Dove Dale, Ilam and the High Peak and Tissington Trail just minutes away.
And for later each cottage has a private patio garden with seating, bbq and chimneas. We have tried to think of everything.

Brilliant

Property fabulous just a little disappointed that there was no black door to let dogs straight out as I didn’t see that specified on the site but it was fine, swimming pool was just a fabulous added bonus and was great to relax and starch your muscles in after all the long walks really good area for lots of walks and places to visit Owners are very friendly and are on hand for any problems or information, will definitely be back.

Fabulous cottage

A beautiful cottage with very welcoming hosts. The cottage was immaculate and very cosy. The welcome hamper was a really nice surprise. Lovely to sleep in luxury bedding too, I really appreciated that, as it felt home from home. The swimming pool was a bonus. I can’t wait to return as soon as there is availability I enjoyed my stay so much.

Beautiful location

Beautiful, peaceful location overlooking a pretty valley. Great base to explore the White Peak area. Cottage was very well equipped just as described. Newly reopened following easing of Covid restrictions and Tim did a brilliant job making us feel welcome and at ease.

Dumble Cottage

Dumble Cottage is a cosy cottage for two. We also took our little dog Alfie with us. It is equipped with everything you need and very cosy and comfortable. It is an ideal base to explore surrounded by stunning countryside.

Mooie kleine cottage voor een verblijf van 2 personen. Goed en compleet ingericht. Prima servies, bestek en kookgerei. Goede oven en keramische kookplaten. Het welkomstpakket was best een verrassing zo compleet. Het zwembad was veel groter dan we hadden verwacht. Vriendelijke ontvangst. Volop zon op het terras achter het huisje (en dat al begin mei) we hebben daar dan ook genoten inclusief de BBQ. Snel internet.

Perfect accommodation, everything we needed to get away from it all for a weekend.

Dumble cottage is small and compact. Perfect for 2 and a dog. There was everything we needed. Even eating and drinking bowls for a dog. Log burner amazing. All fixtures and fittings to a very high standard. Unfortunately due to medical reasons we couldn't use the indoor swimming pool but it looked fabulous. We needed a place a recharge and enjoy some peace and tranquillity which we certainly got. We had intended on walking a lot with our dog but the cottage was so nice that we didn't! There was a field behind the cottage for her to run freely and that was enough. Lovely restaurants close by too. Tim and Vikki there if you needed them but not intrusive. We would recommend dumble cottage to anyone wanting to get away from it all, take a book, shut out the stresses of everyday life and just enjoy! We certainly did and would go again.

Warm and cosy

Lovely small cottage just ideal for 2 . Outside seating area lovely suntrap with good views. The swimming pool is amazing and we used it nearly everyday.
