Property is located in a very peaceful area. My family had a great stay in this house. Bon fires nightly were a great attribute. I'm very glad that our family picked this location for our family 2024 vacation. Owners were very responsive to all of our questions.
The house was big and plenty of beds for six guys. Near trails and located in a great neighborhood. No problems finding the place. Checking in and out was a piece of cake. Owners are great and answered all questions quickly. Thanks for allowing us to stay. Hope to visit again soon

The house is wonderful makes you feel like your home when you're away from home. Very clean has everything you will need for your stay. The association near by is super wonderful and welcoming as well. Private and relaxed not a far drive if you want to do a river trip. The owner is very kind and easy to get in touch with if you need too. I would recommend this to any friends or family looking for a vacation rental.
This is a good place for a fly fishing trip. You are fairly close to the river and away from most of civilization. Very relaxing. There are a few things people need to know. First, there are no upstairs bathrooms. Second, the AC is several window units around the house. I didn't find these to be issues, but some might. Well worth the price.
This property worked very well for our hunting party! The kitchen was well stocked with cooking pans and everything we needed to have some great meals. The kitchen table was a perfect for our evening dinner, games, and re-hash of our days. And lastly the beds were comfortable and warm for a great night of sleep. i would recommend this cabin to anyone who needs a place to stay warm after a day in the woods.

John,
Thanks for the kind review. Your hunting party is welcome back any time. Also looks like you guys kept warm utilizing the wood burner as back up heat which we very much appreciate with the price of propane.
Happy Holidays your hosts,
Sue & Brian
We visited with a group of 3 adults, 1 teenager and 3 kids. The cabin was perfect for our group. It was clean, plenty of space and well stocked with games, kitchen needs, towels etc. We had everything we needed. Brian was very attentive and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend this property to others. Thanks Brian!

Comfy up north getaway
My family stayed here for a few days during a heatwave and, despite the 95 degree temperatures, we stayed cool and comfortable while in the home. Brian and Sue were very great and communicative hosts who welcomed our two dogs and accomodated some last-minute guest-additions. The house was clean and tidy and we were greeted with a welcome note and a bottle of wine, which was very sweet. Somethings we hadn't realized or thought of before our stay - it's about a 25 minute drive into town, and you'll need to be able to transport the kayaks/canoe if you want to use them (our vehicle wasn't equipped for this lol). Higgins Lake is nearby and we visitied the north park beach, which was great. I'd recommend Paddle Hard Brewing in Grayling for pizza and great beer!

Rustic and well supplied
The house and property were well stocked and everything we needed was ready for us. The fully functioning kitchen had extra food (from previous renters) so this was a pay-it-forward to other renters. There was ample room for 6 adults, including sleeping quarters. Having satellite and wifi available was great. The property is secluded but within a short driving distance for extra activities. There was ample wood for campfires on the property and tubes and kayaks for use on the Au Sable River. While we fully enjoyed our summer time stay, the property is even better suited for winter as the snowmobile trials are very close.

Quiet, Peaceful Retreat
My husband and I took one of our daughters and our four grandkids for a long weekend. It was wonderful. Lots of things to do around the area. The kids, all teenagers, had a great time and said they would love to go back. We sat around the firepit at night and made s'mores, talked (rare thing these days), laughed and shared more than we have in a very long time. Thanks to Brian and Sue for opening their home.

Thank you Mark,
We often feel the same way. We tend to see the phones less and real vetbal communication more amidst the plentiful new things to do up North.
Thank you for the kind review.

Great family rental!
We loved the area and thoroughly enjoyed the pool, playgrounds, and outdoor games that were provided with the home rental. Very clean and comfortable house. Lots to do close by, Hartwick Pines for a hike or to get on a bike path. In Grayling, we enjoyed the Trout Fish Hatchery (recreational grocery shopping) and in Gaylord, The Call of the Wild Museum. Mackinaw close enough for a day trip. Great pizza and bowling at Fred's in Roscommon. We explored and had a great time with this home as our base.

Betsy,
Thank you for the kind words. It really is a great family destination. I can tell you even though are kids are young adults we still enjoy the area and trips on the Ausable river together. Not to mention in the winter the hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails that we have mostly to ourselves. Your family is welcome back any time.
