We thoroughly enjoyed the quaint charm of the cabin and the nights by the fire pit. Wish the fishing was a little better, but the property was terrific!
third stay at BRC - THIS time for eleven days. Very quiet and relaxing. Even though it was early October the water was warm and crystal clear. Enjoyed watching the resident mink hunting along shoreline. The view, starlit nites and owner supplied firewood was very nice. Family, who lives in Gaylord, visited several times and had a great time. Thank you Wasilks for sharing this special place!

This is our second year staying here. It's just beautiful in the fall. We love the peace and quiet and that we can bring our dogs. We plan on coming again next year.
The owner needs to pay closer attention to the property. Notes were not read about things not working and cleaning was superficial, although good enough on that level. Very cozy place, on the water, wifi worked. Had a good time.
We had a very relaxing time at this cabin! It was so nice to disconnect and relax by the water and bonfire. Our pup had a blast swimming in the lake. Great location, we would stay here again!
We had the best time for a long weekend getaway! Brought some floaties to swim in the lake! The dogs loved the sandy beach! Played some corn hole during the day and campfires at night. Surprisingly the cabin stayed cool during the 80+ degree weather. Although we didn't stay inside very often, it was very comfortable. Just what we needed for some relaxation!
This was our second stay. We've already booked for next summer. This is reminiscent of the cabin cottage i stayed in as a kid. No frills. Total cozy comfort. Northern Michigan weather changes by the minute sometimes. We got lucky with 2 days of hot sun, one cloudy and one rainy, chilly day. Just what you'd expect at the Lake! Bed totally comfortable; futon not so much, lol. 1940's fridge lacks freezer space. Fridge compartment fine. Grocery store 2 miles away; perfectly convenient if you forgot to bring something. Paddling in kayak in the early hours before water got choppy was heaven. Had no luck fishing off the dock until the last night (of course!) Caught a 2.5' pike on a small lure casting off the dock towards the outer edge of neighbors lily pad patch. Perfect end to wonderful 4 day stay.
This place was such a hidden gem. The dogs loved the water and the perfect little beach. The cabin had a mountain feel to it. Perfect spot to go and unwind for a few days. I took my wife and the dogs here for her 40th bday to relax and spend time with our dogs. Mission accomplished!! Kim was great to work with and fit us in at the last minute.
One of our favorite places to stay ❤️ - cute, cozy, & clean cabin on the lake surrounded by woods. So peaceful!! Morning coffee on the porch with a good book or a peaceful kayak ride on the lake. Lots of good hiking nearby. Can’t wait to return again!
This wonderful rustic cabin, built in the 1930s (by my grandfather and great-father), transports me back in time to my childhood, where I spent many summers playing in the lake, fishing, and running through the woods with my siblings. Still has most of the rustic touches that I remember from my childhood, and I think others who appreciate old things and rustic accomodations will enjoy this place as well!
This was exactly what were looking for. My wife and I and our 4 children(ages 19, 17, 7, and 1yr old) all had a great time. The cabin is a great mix of rustic with the right amenities. The private beach area, kayaks, and row boat were awesome for us to enjoy the lake, and we caught quite a few fish right from the dock. We took day trips to Hartwick Pines and Gaylord and enjoyed the home town feel of Lewiston for shopping and eating. The cabin was very clean and well stocked, and the sand beach had been raked before we arrived, all the details that show that a host cares about your stay had been attended to. Great cabin and property, great lake, great experience!

It was a perfect quiet getaway! Great place to unplug from busy life. Having the canoe was an added bonus. Loved being able to have our dogs with us. We already scheduled again for next year!
Cabin is well cared for and property well maintained
This was our second stay and it was a two week vacation! Owner made sure we had plenty of supplies. the biggest compliment we can say is that we are planning a 3rd stay for next year! Charming, relaxing, cozy, and unique!
Clean, comfortable, rustic...like the cabins remembered from our youth. wonderful lake views. Spent lots of time near the shoreline, reading...and out in the rowboat fishing. We hadn't been back to Lewiston for almost 10 years but plan to return and would not hesitate to rent this cabin again.
Great hosts! More private and quiet place, even on a holiday weekend. Great kayaking, fishing, and swimming. Even the dog had a great time, she’s a 2 year old GSP and was tuckered out every day. A few state parks not too far. The inside of the cabin served its purpose of cooking a little, playing cards at night, a quick shower, and sleeping. We will be back!
Rustic Log cabin with beautiful aged knotty pine interior. Simple, basic necessities, and PET FRIENDLY! It's frozen in time from an era long past. So reminiscent of typical cabin lake houses from the 1930's-1950's. The wooded area is so tranquil and quiet during the week and come Friday afternoon, it's alive with skiers, pontoon cruisers, & jet ski's. The lake is crystal clear. Tap water ice cold and fresh. No smell or mineral taste. Just a short walk out the back door and your toes are in the water! We experienced rainy drizzle, overcast skies, but not bad enough to keep us from fishing off the dock. A heavy fog came in on our 2nd night. Sitting at waters edge, the lake surface like glass, in dead silence, with the occasional fish breaking water to feed & a few wailing loons in the distance, was magical. Day 3 we had sun! So relaxing! Time here was a welcome diversion. 3 days were just not enough. FYI- we have Verizon. Its coverage maps says cabin address is covered but we had NO service. Probably due to dense tree canopy. Supplied WiFi kept buffering, so not sure how conducive to a working vaca with unreliable connection. Anyway, all my online accounts have 2 factor authentication to my phone. No service meant no ability to authenticate, which meant no access to any email, or other remote user access. Aside from (or because of) that, we had a most enjoyable stay and were most comfortable during our time there.
