This is a spacious 3-bedroom apartment in a great location in Sao Martinho do Porto. Situated in the Palmeiras complex, only 65 metres away from the beach and offering fantastic sea views and a communal swimming pool.
The apartment is very well furnished and equipped to provide you a pleasant and comfortable experience. The lounge is equipped with cable TV, free Wi-Fi and a docking station for MP3 player.
The kitchen is extremely well equipped giving you all the conditions to cook some nice homemade meals during your holiday in this charming town.
Two of the bedrooms have king-sized beds and the third has twin beds and also a double sofa bed, making it possible for 8 guests to stay at the property.
A highchair and a travel cot can be provided (you must bring your own bed linen for the cot). Please request this when booking.
There are 2 bathrooms in the apartment, one with a shower cubicle and the other with bath and shower over.
The balcony has outdoor dining furniture and offers great views over the pool and the lovely bay .
On arrival, the property managers will provide bracelets for access to the pool. Please note that only 6 pool bracelets will be provided, if there are more than 6 people in your group, you will need to share the bracelets between yourselves.
The property benefits of a garage with a private space for your car. Please note that the space is tight and larger cars may be hard to fit in. There is free parking space outside the complex as an alternative.
Please know that there are some steps surrounding the complex and inside the apartment as it is a duplex, so this apartment is not ideal for people with serious mobility problems.
Occasionally, festivals take place in São Martinho, and due to the central location of this apartment, the noise can be disruptive for guests seeking a quiet stay. The primary events that may cause disturbance are the New Year celebrations and the Festas de Santo António, which typically occur over 10 days in early to mid-June. If you are sensitive to loud music playing late into the night, please check the festival dates before making a reservation.
Note: Check-in times are from 2PM to 7PM. If you consider arriving later than that, please check with us first before booking if it will be possible. Arrivals after 7PM, if accepted, are charged an extra fee, please contact us for more information..

When you wake up and open the shutters you look out over Sao Martinho's bay. And what better way to start the day by having breakfast on the balcony with the same view!
This two story, three bedroom appartment was just right for our small family of three. It has a big kitchen, where you can do some proper cooking, a good sized living/dining area with satellite TV and good WiFi.
The appartment is situated in a fairly quiet part of Sao Martinho, with possibility of free street parking nearby. As is usual in Portuguese towns, you have to navigate a small bit of steep street to get to the door of the appartment. A great bakery "Concha" is nearby and walking a bit further you pass a small supermarket and reach the daily fresh market. For the supermarket we preferred the short drive to the Continente in Nazaré. Filling up the tank is cheapest at the local Intermarche.
Contact with the agency was very good, and upon arrival we were warmly greeted by Lesley. When due to an neighborhood outage the spark of the hob wouldn't function anymore, her husband dropped by within the hour to help us out.
In the master bedroom that we slept in, there was a visible spot on the ceiling from an old leakage- that could use a bit of paint. Some superficial cracks in the plaster on some of the walls. Other than that... It's a great, cool and clean appartment, well situated. Would recommend visiting the castle and old Town of Leiria, the Convent in Tomar, Caves of Mira Aire, Nazaré and of course enjoy the beach and bistro's of Sao Martinho do Porto! And if you turn in after a hefty day of leisure, close the shutters, but be sure to leave the sliding door slightly open, so you can fall asleep to the sound of the surf.

Casa muito bem localizada e bem equipada. 2 notas que acho que merecem melhoria: o berço os bebés estava bastante sujo, com manchas amareladas e as camas, fazem imenso barulho ao sentar/ deitar.

Der Check in hat super geklappt. Wir benötigten Hilfe von Lesley und Sie ist sofort gekommen. Das war ein klasse Service.
Der Ausblick auf die Bucht vom Balkon ist herrlich. Der Weg zur Bucht führt über eine Treppe. So ist man sehr schnell am Strand.
Das war es dann aber auch, die Wohnung selber ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und müsste mal überholt werden. Die Türen, gerade im Schlafzimmer, ging meisst nur mit lauten krach auf, da Sie verzogen war. Teilweise meinte man Sie wäre abgeschlossen. In einem der Schlafzimmer war ein Wasserschaden an der Decke, die Liegen waren schon gelblich, alles in allem schon recht verwohnt. Wir würden diese Wohnung, trotz der tollen Aussicht, nicht wieder buchen.

Smelt of sewage as soon as you walked in. Property managetr gave us a bottle of bleach for us to use
Left immediately after manager gave us bleach to pour down toilets. Smell & cleanliness was terrible. Still waiting for our money back after 4 weeks. The owners reply was the fee for cleaning ordeal from start not at all recommended. Terrible customer service

We're very sorry that you did not enjoy your stay in our apartment. Unfortunately we could not confirm that the complaints that you made were justified. We visited the apartment the day after you left and there was no sign of any unpleasant odours at all. We took an independent witness into the property who confirmed the same. We also looked at the standards of the cleaning and they were very high. You did send us pictures or what had (apparently) upset you about the cleaning - they included a picture of a water mark on the inside of the dishwasher door, some dust in the corner of a picture frame and some dust between some slats under the mattress in one of the bedrooms. That was all. To be honest the cleaners don't polish the inside of the dishwasher door after every guest and they also don't remove the mattresses from the beds to clean any dust from the slats. That said, the property manager was more than happy to return to the property to assist you if necessary. Instead you decided to leave the property and request a refund.
This was a very strange incident for the property manager as your complaints seemed to be so exaggerated. We're aware that guests in your group had mobility issues and found it difficult to walk around the steps in the complex. We believe that the mobility problems were the genuine reason why you left the apartment and the complaints (an unpleasant odour that we couldn't smell and incredibly minor cleaning issues) were raised as you felt that you would be more likely to receive a refund through those complaints.
We're very sorry that you did not stay in the property, unfortunately I think that the mobility problems made it impossible. In the future, it would be best to explain the mobility problems when enquiring about a property to be sure that the property is suitable.
Es una pena que estando tan bien situada, con la amplitud de espacios y hasta con piscina comunitaria, la calidad sea francamente mejorable. La cocina necesita una limpieza a fondo y mejorar el menaje (por ejemplo, no había cucharillas para todos). La ropa de cama es vieja y hasta tenía aspecto de sucia. Tampoco estarían de más algunas deferencias: ni papel higiénico, ni jabón, etcétera. Son cosas fáciles de solucionar: no todo es ingresar por el alquiler.

Proche de la mer
Bel appartement bien situé, à quelques mètres de la mer, avec de belles surfaces, accès aisé à pied. Petits commerces à proximité très utiles, petite supérette et repas à L’emporter. Les points faibles à relever : pas de stationnement comme mentionné sur l’annonce ! Nous avons toutefois pu stationner dans la rue. La propreté de la maison : en général était médiocre et celle de la cuisine inacceptable, nous avons dû nettoyer l’ensemble des électroménagers et ustensiles de cuisine avant utilisation(bouilloire, four, grille pain...,). Les draps de lit étaient de qualité moyenne, la couette de l’une des chambres était pleine de boules et le linge de lit qui figurait sur l’annonce était vraisemblablement de meilleure qualité. Plusieurs prises sont à fixer et des ampoules à remplacer, une plinthe est manquante entre le corridor et la salle-de-bain à l’étage. De plus toutes les portes doivent être réglées, il est impossible de les fermer sans réveiller toute la maison. Il est également à relever que le balcon avec table est situé à l’étage dans les chambres à coucher, cette information devrait être spécifiée, il est également dommage de ne pas avoir installé de chaises longues dans la balcon du bas. La piscine était agréable, le maître nageur sympathique et intentionné avec les enfants, il est également dommage de ne pouvoir bénéficier de chaises longues autour de la piscine. En résumé, je préconise l’emplacement de l’appartement et les belles surfaces ainsi que son agréable piscine mais je ne recommanderais pas cet objet à des amis, au vue de son état de propreté lors de la remise des clés.
