Thank you. We really appreciate your feedback and hope to welcome you back sometime.
Lexie had the property beautifully warm for us as we arrived from Miami in January!
Quintessentially English cottage, quirky and cosy.
Thank you Lexie we enjoyed our stay
Comfortable and convenient. Welcome package amazing. Great period cottage clean and well arranged. Wonderful hosts, friendly and accommodating in every way .
Thank you for such a lovely stay in the Primrose Cottage at Shippe!
Amazing property in quaint village just outside of Canterbury, UK. Owner was extremely welcoming and accommodating. We had plenty of space and the full kitchen and washer/dryer met our needs perfectly. Parking was a little challenging, but definitely manageable. Would book again in a heartbeat!!!
We had a wonderful stay with this cottage in a great location. You could reach Canterbury in a short time by bike and yet the cottage was in a quiet location. Also London is easily accessible by train from Canterbury. The village of bridge also had great offers for us with several restaurants, tea rooms and a small super market. We explored the area with our bikes. The cycle paths were well sign posted. The cottage, with its lovely and pretty furnishings, gave us a wonderful holday with great experiences and insights. The cottage was well equipped with wifi, TV and modern kitchen appliences. The landlords were very nice and available to answer any questions.
Charming Historic Cottage stay in charming historic village!
This was everything advertised and better. Lexie was about the best host we have ever had. She lives so close by that she was literally there to check on us and ask if we needed anything or any recommendations almost EVERY time we were coming and going. She even shared her own groceries with us when we realized that everything was closed on our arrival day.
The cottage is adorable and across from a Michelin star restaurant (Bridge Arms) and down the street from a wonderful farm-to-table old manor inn (The Pig) where we had memorable meals.
The only thing I'd caution is that it's out-of-the way and we found that the bus service was unreliable. Plan on taxis if you don't have a car!
Lexie’s place is a charming historic house which was very quiet and comfortable. We appreciated the little touches including the welcome hamper which contributed to a lovely stay.
Cosy cottage and Bridge is a lovely place from where you can explore Kent. The owner is very welcoming and gives you a good start with a hamper with food products from the area.
The cottage is rather smaller than the impression you get from the photographs. Also, considering that there is no view I think that the price is to high.

About the host
Hosted by Lexie
I am a nurse with 3 children. We have lived in New York and rented houses across America and Europe for vacations so we know what we would like to find in a property. This cottage is exclusively a holiday rental.
Why they chose this property
Primrose cottage is one of four cottages in what was once known as Primrose Alley. The first three cottages have now been converted into one dwelling where we live and we are pleased to offer Primrose Cottage as holiday accommodation for individuals and families looking to stay in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in this unique corner of The Garden of England. The cottage is believed to be built in the 15th Century and has a wealth of original and interesting features such as exposed beams, inglenook fire place and a small twisting staircase (with handrail).
