We had a very enjoyable holiday, with the perfect location and facilities to relax, which was the whole point of our holiday, The cottage was well furnished and comfortable, plenty of space and a good layout. The added bonus of a hot tub, contributed well to the relaxation and we were impressed that the water quality of the hot tub was checked twice over the course of the week. It was great to look at the stars from the hot tub as there was no light pollution in the area. The surrounding countryside was farmland, a sandy beach within a mile and the Tarbatness lighthouse also within a mile, with lots of wildlife around. The village of Portmahomack was also within a mile and had a well stocked shop. Tain was about 6 miles away and had an excelled fish and chip shop 9Silverdale) which we would highly recommend. This is a perfect base for exploring the north of Scotland,

Stunning cottage with beautiful views.
Stunning cottage with beautiful views. Would recommend bringing a few bits from home or doing a shop en route as the nearest supermarket is about an hours round trip away. But other than that perfect cottage and our dogs loved the walks about the surrounding area. 5* place

We had a wonderful holiday at Grieve's cottage.
We had a wonderful holiday at Grieve's cottage. The cottage is in a wonderful location, with lots of sight seeing, the light house and beaches near by. The cottage was beautiful. The décor was perfect. The cottage was spotless and cosy. Very well appointed kitchen and bedrooms. The garden was very dog friendly. The owner gave us a lovely warm welcome and showed us how to use the outdoor hot tub. We would have picked this cottage even if it didn't have the hot tub but the fact that it did was a fantastic bonus. We cant wait to visit again.

A lovely clean cottage which contains everything you would need for a weeks holiday.
A lovely clean cottage which contains everything you would need for a weeks holiday. Hot tub and Sky Q lovely extras plus the garden is superb for letting your dog out to do its business or for some fun with the kids.(only thing I would add is the fence at the bottom onto field with sheep could be more secure ie slightly higher/smaller gap)
Area is lovely with plenty of places to visit, the pub in the village is very welcoming and does decent pub grub at reasonable prices(it is also dog friendly)
