Enclosed front garden with patio and garden furniture. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. . White Cottage is a single-storey, traditional, detached cottage situated in an elevated position in the grounds of the owners’ working farm. It is very attractively presented throughout and will appeal to couples and small families seeking a warm, cosy holiday cottage in a lovely, quiet, unspoilt location. There are numerous places of interest and a superb sandy coastline within close proximity.
Golspie is 1 mile away, with a good selection of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés, plus a harbour, beach, golf course and railway station, with trains to the far north (Wick) and south to Inverness. Further facilities can be found in the adjoining town of Brora, with a sandy beach, championship golf course, more local shops, cafés and restaurants. Dunrobin Castle is 2 miles away and is the seat of the Dukes of Sutherland and open to the public. Mountain bike trails and coastal and country walks are also close by.
White Cottage sits amidst superb Sutherland countryside. It is just yards from the renowned North Coast 500 route that follows this dramatic coastline up to the far north and around to the west. There are numerous places of interest and sporting facilities in the area. For the energetic, a hike or bike ride up Ben Bhraggie to the monument at the top will reward you with stunning views across to the sea. The John O’ Groats trail runs for miles along the coastline, where seals, dolphins and a wide variety of seabirds can be spotted.
