Clean, spacious home with a well-stocked kitchen. We had everything we needed. Huge shower stalls with strong water pressure and plenty of hot water. Excellent location in a quiet neighborhood, just a short walk to beautiful Poipu beach and nearby eateries. Easy communication with Chris, our host. Would definitely stay again.

We loved our stay in Poipu! Location, location, location. Perfect for a family stay. Great communication and real care from the host Chris. Thoughtfully set up, lots of extra amenities, and tons of clear signage to help us quickly get oriented to the house. We stayed during a Kona low and felt safe and secure in the home while still seeing waves right from the lanai!

This house was a spectacular place to stay for our vacation! The view of the ocean from the lanai was fabulous, we were able to watch whales breaching in the ocean from the comfort of this home! Proximity to the beaches and several restaurant/bars is true as stated in the listing-a short walk! Chris, our host, is one of the nicest and most accommodating we have ever had. Chris was a welcoming host, very responsive to questions, and best of all, the accommodations exceeded our expectations.We enjoyed the view of the ocean from the balcony, the well-stocked beach gear room, and the quick walk to the beach.Most of us took morning and evening walks to check out the turtles on the beach. The kids rented surfboards and even took a lesson.Having stayed at other properties in Poipu, this is now our new favorite for family trips!

Poipu Stay

Host was communicative during the tsunami evacuation. Fully stocked with snorkels, beach chairs, towels. Definitely not the Four Seasons but a very welcoming perfect spot for families!

Chris, the owner has very quick in responding to any questions or needs. The kitchen is adequately equipped. There were plenty of towels and basic toiletries in the bathrooms. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the beach is a two minute walk.Our family had a wonderful stay.

70th Birthday Getaway

The family and I had a fabulous time staying in Poipu. We were fortunate to have perfect weather. The location is excellent for taking advantage of all of the shopping and eating available around the Poipu area. The off street parking is a real plus.

Location was great. House was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen lacked a lot of basic things needed for cooking (oil, etc.). Overall a comfortable stay and 2 minute walk from an amazing beach.

Amazing Location and House

Overall, the property had everything we wanted during our stay in Poipu. The house was spacious, clean and stocked with all the right amenities. It was walking distance to beaches and came stocked with everything you would need at the beach. The owner was very communicative and the checkin/checkout process was very easy. Would stay here again without a doubt.

We really enjoyed our stay! The location is perfect with a quick walk to two of the best beaches (Brenneckes & Poipu). Plus the layout of the house is great (where the downstairs quarters could be completely secluded if one desires). The host was great and easy to work with. We already miss waking up to that ocean view every day!

My family and I moved to Kauai when I was two and we've been part of the community ever since. I recently retired after 25 years appraising property on Kauai and currently serve on the Kauai County Board of Review and the Puhi Park BoD in Lihue. We also participate in community and volunteer programs including youth sports and parks and archaeological digs.

Theresa and I have spent many years hiking, biking and kayaking around the island. While we love to travel, we always appreciate returning to the beauty and people of Kauai.

Why they chose this property

Our home is on the sunny side of the island convenient to beaches with partial ocean views yet set back and landscaped for privacy. You'll be close to great beaches without being in a resort. Coastal walks along the nearby Mahaluepu Coastline are a family favorite.

We are truly centrally located on the island, The north shore is about an hour away and the spectacular Waimea Canyon and Kokee State Park are an hour in the opposite direction. This gives you option of day trips within reasonable driving times to these not-to-be-missed areas.

Finally, our home is approved for short-term rentals and is completely unaffected by recent laws restricting accommodations on other islands.
