Beachfront Bargain!!

A perfect accommodation for travelers on a budget! Aquarius #501 is a 2 bedroom/1 bathroom condo with WIFI located on the west side of Aquarius Condominiums. This unit has great bay views of the Laguna Madre, and great side views of the ocean! Aquarius Condominium #501 is tastefully decorated with nice furnishings, tile floor throughout,and a fully stocked kitchen. The master bedroom entails a queen size bed and the guest bedroom has two twin beds. The condo features a large balcony with plenty of sitting room, and is placed in the perfect location to view the beautiful sunsets, South Padre Island offers every evening! You can catch great views of the Friday night firework shows from this balcony during Summer!

Aquarius condominiums has a very nice pool area, which includes a heated pool, hot tub, palapa area, and plenty of room for lounge chairs and tanning. Aquarius no longer charges fees for peak-period wrist bands, a further savings for this nice, clean, low-cost getaway.

Budget friendly

Spi rentals is always our go to for getaways at south padre. The room was clean, had plenty of linens, and the staff is incredible. Location was great as well.

The unit fit what we expected and needed. Liked the balcony view of the beach off to one side, and straight on view of the bay and sunset. Good location as we could walk to many location and beach access couldn't be beat. Other guests in Condo building were very friendly and had weekly gatherings. Only negatives were we felt the owners for safety should have a GFI outlet in bathroom by sink and also a coffee pot with a 2 hour shut off timer built in. Other negative not related to safety was the couch could use a good cleaning or replacement because it felt very sandy when sitting on it. That being said we would definitely come back.

I would not recommend paying for this condo its extremely poorly maintained - broken furniture, no towels in kitchen or bathroom, no door or bathroom mats, dirty couch. Its not worth your money. So do not spoil your vacation paying for this condo. No cleaning service, not enough supplies in kitchen or in bathroom.

Aquarius 501

How shameful to rent a place as filthy as 501. The sleep couch was stained, extremely dirty, sunk in, the mattress was horrible, you could feel the coils and very uncomfortable. How unhygienic can you get, especially in Covid times with NO pillow cases. The furniture in the living room was so old, unmatched and dirty, you sat and it sank to the floor. You advertise oceanfront and it is not. The tables in the bedroom were faded and cheap. Did you furnish it with second hand or garage sale furniture? The light in one bedroom did not work. We were very unhappy and did not spend the last night there. I will not go through SPI rentals again. Also the staff at Aquarius was very unfriendly, not helpful at all. I paid $370.00 a night and expected much better. Even wifi did not connect to my iPad. Very disappointing!

Perfect Family Getaway

We loved our stay at Aquarius 501! The unit may not be as modern as some others but it is very comfortable and has everything you need for a great stay on the beach. The unit overlooks the parking lot which means you get to watch beautiful sunsets over the bay from your balcony as well as the fireworks show! The pool at the condo is very nice and perfect if the kids still want to be in the water but need a break from the sand. My teens also loved the ping pong table in the weight room. Management and staff were friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We will definitely be returning next season!

Disgusting couch

The condo is extremely dated overall. The furnishings are extremely cheap and the couch has so many gross stains that it looks like it came from a crime scene. The location of the condo is great and the pool area is nice.

Perfect View of Fireworks

Appreciated the small things like including sponge, dish soap and dish detergent, washing machines and dryers take credit card, those things really help. But my oh my the VIEW of the fireworks was just amazing. Definitely will come again to this unit!!

The location was great. Super close to the beach, great pool and grill area. Building itself was great, however, the condo could definitely use some updating. The decor was so outdated and could use some better furniture placement to maximize the space. My sister stayed in a different condo at Aquarius and hers was so much more updated. I'd stay at this building again, but try to rent a different condo.

I was not impressed for what I paid.

The pictures were misleading. Couch was broken and dirty, TV in one of the bedrooms didn’t work. Said they offered free WiFi but did not. Wouldn’t recommend honestly I would have rather slept on floor.

Property is very outdated. Furniture is all broken and dirty. Property is not equipped with basic cleaning supplies, no mats on the front door or in bathroom, no hair dryer, no towels in kitchen, no dishwasher soap. Bed makes noise, can not really sleep. No room service or cleaning service

Quiet neighborhood short walk to beach

My cousin and I loved this clean, modern, nicely decorated property! The proximity to the beach and great restaurants was especially important to us. Shout out to Los Compadres Mexican Restaurant -delicious food and generous portions. It smells great as soon as you walk in. My cousin is going to come back with her entire family, that's how much she enjoyed it. The birding an nature center and dolphin watch tour were fun and educational.
