Enchanted Treehouse On Lake Michigan - Near Grand Haven and Holland

The Enchanted Treehouse is perched on a sand dune overlooking Lake Michigan with 100' of private lakefront. Enjoy the magnificent lake views from every room or the deck with table, chairs and BBQ.

Enjoy sightseeing and dining in Grand Haven 9 miles (15 minutes) to the north or Holland 12 miles (20 minutes) to the south. Take the 145 steps to the beach and park your blankets or chairs on your own private beach. There are no rocks and the sugar-fine sand slopes gently into the crystal clear water.

Avoid the crowds and enjoy the peace and tranquility that this property has to offer. This unique modern rustic, post and beam style cottage was designed by award winning architect Chuck Posthumus to maximize lake views while minimizing environmental impact on the critical dune.

Sorry, not suitable for weddings or other events. Parking is limited. The unique features of this house that provide the spectacular treetop views, also make the home more physically demanding and unsuitable for people who have physical or ambulatory limitations and it is not handicapped accessible.

Rates are based on 5 guests; add $10.00 per night, per additional guest. 1 - 2 dogs allowed with owner's permission and additional pet fee. Must request at time of booking and provide breed, size and age.

There are three outdoor security cameras onsite. One faces the driveway, one faces the two entry doors, and one faces the steps to the beach.

We have stayed here twice

Love the Tree House. My only suggestion is to clean under the beds.

Rustic retreat

The climb down to the beach and back up again was tough for little kids (very steep), but other than that it was great! Lots of family board games, a pack n’ play, and even some toddler toys made it easier to travel with kids.

Unique w/ Lots of Stairs

We really enjoyed our stay, but some folks may not be up for all the stair climbing. No complaints from us, but be aware there are lots of stairs front, back and inside. The stairs are truly part of the charm, just be sure you are up for it. We were!

Enchanted!

Perfect girls weekend. Weather was amazing. House is sound and had EXCELLENT breeding and needs. Im getting the sheets. Sams club hotel collection. I checked. They felt great. Also buying new down pillows because they were also great pacific coast bedding. Well stocked kitchen. Stairs are intense. If you have health issues or are super out of shape then just stay on the porch. It was a work out but we all felt better for getting our hearts pumping. Great layout. Loved the feel of the place. We all felt very comfortable. Id rent again no problem. Had no issues so the trip was a breeze.

Why they chose this property

We searched up and down the shores of Lake Michigan from South Haven to Muskegon and think we found the perfect beach and ideal location between the lovely towns of Grand Haven and Holland. We first saw this property for sale at Thanksgiving time 2016, fell in love and named it the Enchanted Treehouse.
