Welcome to this house built in the 17th century by merchants and boatmen in the last curve of the Saone before the confluence.
The house is just at the North entrance of the perimeter classified by UNESCO in Lyon
The apartment that will be yours for a while is made up of:

Lovely flat!

The apartment was clean, private, mostly quiet in the courtyard (you can hear the restaurant next door when they’re operating) and beautifully equipped (two irons!). Walking distance from bus and river, easy access to sights and restaurants. Truly a unique place to stay, thank you!

Great place for family of 5

Host is very accommodating, secure and quite place, can walk around not too far but close enough to the touristy areas. It's right at the river side, so you can see the beautiful view when you go out from the apartment. Also, the outdoor area is much love to hang out in the morning for coffee and wine at night. Highly recommended.

LOCATION!

Easy access to Vieux Lyon and Confluence using the convenient transportation system. The renovated apartment was just perfect and the owner was very hospitable! We did not want for anything. A VERY cozy place to live!

Charming Romantic & Spacious

Super easy checkin. Good communication before and during.Includes parking garage.Bed IS NOT a king.Ample bath & kitchen cleaning products. Ditto for towels.Could be a bit cleaner but expected based on other reviews.Not much around within a short walk but bus stops very close by. 20 -30 minute walk to most places. Wonderful outdoor area but unfortunately too cold to use or enjoy. Would definitely recommend this apartment.

Absolute Gem along La Saône

This was by far the best VRBO where my family has stayed in over 15 years of traveling together. Laurent, our host has created a most beautiful apartment that is comfortable, well apportioned and perfectly situated near the Old City of Lyon. Lyon, a great walking city, is full of history, culture, great restaurants and cafes and the apartment is within a short walking distance from everything. We were able to take day trips to the Beaujolais Wine Region and out into the countryside and come back to enjoy a nice bottle of wine on the apartments stone walled patio. I highly recommend 11 Rue de Pierre Scrize and will definitely stay again on our next trip back to Lyon.

Lost in translation

Perhaps in France they have a different definition of the words ‘clean’ and ‘superb’. This property was neither. In many ways it’s lovely, but in reality it’s not as described in the listing. It’s in the old town, built into the rocks only a few meters from the river. But the area is quite scruffy and it’s certainly not in the heart of the old town. It’s also quite poorly thought through. For instance, the bathroom and toilet are at opposite ends of the apartment, when there’s space enough to have them together. Also, the fridge freezer is tall and stacked on top of a washing machine. So, unless you’re an NBA basketball player you’re not getting to the top half. There was no step ladder provided, so my wife had to stand on a kitchen chair to clean out the mold when we arrived. This brings me to the worst point: the property was dirty and damp. Not student house dirty, but not adequately clean and certainly nowhere near the standard of the other 9 properties we’ve rented on this trip. Everything was dusty, the kitchen and bathroom were not clean and there were no rubbish sacks in the bins. Worst of all, though, was the damp bedroom and water on the floor and inside the wardrobe. When I pointed this out to the host, they replied that the flat had been cleaned, that I could get some bin sacks from the shop, and that they were not aware of any damp issues. When I sent photos of the water, they stopped responding.

il était convenu avec le propriétaire que je l'appelle en arrivant à Lyon, l'appartement devant être disponible entre 16h et 17h, le ménage devant être réalisé dans l'après-midi.il a été impossible de joindre le propriétaire dès 13h malgré les nombreux appels et messages laissés.nous étions 4, et sans information du propriétaire nous avons contacté les services Abritel qui ont été réactifs, et séjour annulé par absence d'informations du propriétaire. sans info, ni contact, ni nouvelle, nous avons dû chercher en catastrophe un hôtel pour 4 personnes en fin d'après midi, ce qui n'a pas été facile. le propriétaire nous a contacté ensuite vers 20h.bien trop tard .expérience très éprouvante pour nous 4 voyageurs concernant l'hébergement. c'est dommage et très regrettable.nous avons effectué notre séjour complet à l'hôtel.nous espérons ne jamais renouveler cette expérience.sinon les visites de Lyon ont été ensuite très agréables. nous garderons ce point positif.

SI le logement ne manque pas de cachet, notamment avec la pierre apparente, le reste ne demeure pas conforme à nos attentes. Nous avons trouvé les lits faits à notre arrivée, mais pour le reste, nous avons un gros doute sur le ménage assuré : miroir de la salle de bain taché, plan de travail collant, frigo sale, couche de poussière dans chaque recoin et surtout sous les lits, filtre à café plein avec moisissure dans la cafetière.... Mais la plus mauvaise surprise de notre séjour reste la colocation de plusieurs jeunes à l'étage du dessus, ne permettant pas de profiter de la terrasse, voire de l'appartement en lui même, en raison du tapage nocturne. En dehors de çà, l'appartement est fonctionnel et bien localisé. Le parking fermé n'est pas conseillé si on a une grosse voiture ;-)

Great stay in lyon

We stayed in Lyon for 2 nights while in France, this was a great apartment that stayed cool in the hot summer temps. My friends and I enjoyed sitting in the courtyard with wine and talking to the host, who went above and beyond to make us comfortable! We also easily explored the city with the apartment in walking distance of bus stops and the main square. Would stay again!

Stijlvolle goed geoutilleerde woning aan de Saone

Fantastische woning, van alle gemakken voorzien. Je kunt heerlijk langs de kades lopen. Vieux Lyon is op loopafstand, voor het centrum is het iets verder. De bus stopt voor de deur, dus die kun je ook nemen. Voor boodschappen is er een fijne winkelstraat op loopafstand (15 minuten) in Vaise.

Très bel appartement avec beaucoup de charme et de confort. Le patio est un havre de verdure et de fraîcheur. A savoir que deux balcons des voisins donnent sur le patio mais pas trop gênant. Le propriétaire est accueillant et arrageant. Bref on recommande vivement cet endroit 👍🏽

Beautiful apartment, fantastic host!

A fantastic apartment - I would absolutely recommend this accommodation to anyone. My partner and I spent a very happy three months here at the beginning of a move to France and we loved it! The space itself is beautiful, and definitely larger than it looks in the pictures with everything we needed for a long stay. The double bed is large and comfortable and the courtyard was a real asset. We spent many nights cooking outside on the plancha and really appreciated having a great bit of outdoor space. The location is also brilliant, with the apartment being only a 10 minute walk from the old town. Laurent is a fantastic host, and in a number of ways went above and beyond not only to ensure we were comfortable, but also to help us settle into a new life in a new country and for that we are very appreciative. An excellent apartment and a fantastic host. Thank you for everything Laurent.
