About this property

Farm stay property Pets and families welcome

A semi rural mobile home in a wonderful location offering mountain, countryside and sea views. This property is located on a small family farm.

Willoughby Cottage 3 bedroom mobile home offering its own privacy away from the main family house. The accommodation comprises open plan living room/kitchen and dining area with table and chairs and a breakfast bar. 3 bedrooms, one master with a double bed, plenty of cupboard space and access to the shower room through hidden doors. 2 twin bedrooms (standard mobile home design) offering storage, and a pull out double sofa bed in the sitting room. A separate w.c and bathroom offering a shower. Every room boasts a fantastic view whether it’s over fields with livestock, views towards the Atlantic or views towards the hills of Donegal. Outside there is a private garden to the side, decking and use of the pond garden and the new addition of the chill out garden with sofas, fire pit and herb, veg, fruit and flower beds all offering views over to the wonderful sunsets. At certain times of the year there is a possibility of viewing the Northern Lights, either directly from the property or within close driving distance.

This is a FARM STAY and as such there is chickens, geese, our peacock (Mr Honkeytonk), a few farm cats and farm dogs, Captain, Holly and Shelia. All animals are friendly and very used to both adults and children and encourage you to come visit them. WE RECOMMEND WELLY BOOTS FOR LITTLE ONES DURING THE AUTUMN THROUGH TO SPRING MONTHS. We would like to think that you will enjoy a rural stay in our mobile home and that when you are booking this property to note that it is not situated on a caravan park and that we are in the countryside. We can accommodate 6 guests but it is still a mobile home and not a large house.

We are children friendly and offer many games for children and the family and welcome children to come and view the animals here. There is a lovely grassy area for the children to enjoy kicking a ball about.

We have sheds which we will store bikes, fishing gear and surfboards if required.

We like to think you can have your own privacy, but should you or any of your guests like to come and visit any of the animals or collect your own eggs for breakfast all you need to do is give us a shout.

Our local town of Ballyshannon, which is approx 5KM from our location, is the eldest in Ireland and boast some fantastic musical festivals throughout the year, the biggest being the Rory Gallagher festival in early June. We are approx 8KM away from Rossnowlagh beach which is a mile and a half of golden sands surrounded by breathtaking cliff tops, far reaching mountain View’s and if you are brave enough, excellent surfing. Although we are rural, the local town of Ballyshannon is twenty minutes by foot and five minutes by car/motorbike.
Creevy pier can often be the place to see whales and dolphins and is also great for a spot of mackerel fishing, rock pooling and cliff walking.
Horse trekking along the beaches is available in our neighboring town of Bundoran along with some fun arcades and bowling for the children.
For those who enjoy walking we are based along the Wild Atlantic way and this offers some of the most exciting and picturesque scenery in Ireland.
The towns of Sligo, letterkenny and Enniskillen are all within easy traveling distance from here. There are bus routes from the town going to all the major towns both in the Republic and also into Northern Ireland.

Wild Atlantic Way night stay
We needed a place for our family of 5 to spend the night during our travels along the Wild Atlantic Way. This tiny house is on a working farm, so animals are around and making animal noises. The scenery was beautiful! Picturesque Irish farm countryside. House was clean and had everything available that our family needed for the night. Hosts were friendly and attentive.
