A fabulous dog friendly cottage (We welcome up to x2 small or x1 medium sized dog with no charge) This is due to the size of the property and your comfort. We also have a much larger dog friendly property (The Long Barn). Millers Cottage is an ideal home to explore the countryside & coast of N.Wales. Near Llandundo, Conwy, Snowdon, Chester, located in AONB Clwydian range, Lovely walks, & great foodie pubs (The Cherry Pie Inn is next door!). The space
Millers Cottage, is a well maintained, dog friendly ground floor apartment in a charming mill complex. It has been awarded 4 stars by Visit Wales. It is located in an area of outstanding natural beauty, in Flintshire, North Wales. The cottage is very accessible, being only 1 hours drive from Liverpool and Manchester. It's the perfect home from home to explore the countryside and coast of this beautiful part of North Wales, within 20-45 minutes you can reach many popular tourist destinations, Llandundo, Conwy, Llangollen, Chester, Moel Famau, Loggerheads, The Clwydian Hills, Talacre beach (All perfect for dog walking).
Millers cottage, has a well equipped kitchen, living room / dining room, a good sized double bedroom, and it benefits from an en-suite shower room. A warm welcome awaits you. The cottage is homely and well maintained - It is 4 star graded by Visit Wales. Its' a great location with fabulous walks from the doorstep, or if you want a relaxing stay, cosying up inside, a selection of books and board games are provided.
For Christmas breaks, we even provide decorations and a Christmas tree, should you wish!
Please let us know when you book if you intend to bring your dog, we will then provide a dog bed, dog towel and complimentary treats for your four-legged friend.
It's the perfect base for couples looking to relax and enjoy exploring the local area.
The cottage is located in stunning landscaped grounds, guest can enjoy relaxing in the outdoor seating areas, and summerhouse, we also have a BBQ available for guests. For small families we can provide a cot and high chair for your little one free of charge, please email to request.
We have a popular dog friendly pub restaurant just next door (50m walk) which is very popular with our guests.

Hi I'm Liz, The Owner and Manager of The Old Mill Holiday Cottages. My husband and I were fortunate to buy The Old Mill in the Winter of 2015. We live on site with our x2 gorgeous girls and our dog Eli.
The previous owners ran the property as a very successful B&B business for 25 years. After a period of sensitive renovations we took the property into its next era and carefully converted the property into x3 self catering holiday lets . We opened our first two cottages (The Hayloft & Millers Cottage) in the Summer of 2015. The Long Barn opened in July 2016.
Great care and attention is given to keep standards high. If you contact The Old Mill Holiday Cottages, you will speak to me Liz and I will help with any questions or queries you may have. I have a small team of dedicated help - Claire my cleaner, Maurice in charge of maintenance and Martin is my gardener. I'm very lucky to meet lots of lovely people in my job, many who have become regular guests and friends!

Why they chose this property
Both my husband and I have always loved travelling, we have experienced great hospitality and have been fortunate enough to have holidayed in many beautiful and memorable locations worldwide. We wanted to recreate our experience of great hospitality in beautiful surroundings, by developing our own small holiday cottage business. After much searching of the local area, we were lucky enough to buy the Old Mill in November 2014. As soon as we saw The Old Mill we immediately fell in love with its beautiful setting and amazing architecture. We knew this would be our ideal family home and a fantastic opportunity to develop into our business dream of creating a small holiday cottage complex.
