Notes
The instructions on how to access the property were not complete - it was extremely confusing when the access code to one of the doors where the key safe was housed had not been given. I don't think this had been the first time for this confusion and it would be sensible to have the key safe on the outside wall near the access door. Whilst the kitchen was fairly well equipped it would be useful to have a frying pan and some small side plates. Kitchen cupboard doors on the wall have not been fitted well and don't close properly Cleanliness - It seemed the property had been cleaned but there was a layer of dust under the bed and sofa. We weren't aware that the high chair and cot were located in the storage room and so thought they had not been provided, until we found them by accident.

Excellent family accommodation
An excellent converted barn which provides excellent facilities for a family holiday. Located within a collection of other holiday cottages, the barn is well equipped and has easy access to some great locations including St Agnes

4/10 Poor

Not worth the money.
The instructions to get into the barn were awful, and I was given a code that wasn’t even in the arrival email to get the keys out of the storage barn, which didn’t look anything like a storage barn. The inside of the property smelt disgusting because of the drains in the kitchen. No bulbs in the lamps provided in our room. No privacy whatsoever, every single window in the property faces onto people. So our bedroom windows were right by a couple who were sitting outside. Everybody in the complex quickly learnt to stay indoors otherwise you could end up seeing someone getting undressed without meaning to. We were lucky our decking faced the car park. The barns are also far too close to the main road into St Agnes. So the road noise woke us up through the night and into the early hours of the morning. If your after somewhere peaceful and away from it all, this isn’t it. I would not stay in this property again, particularly in light of the money we spent. It’s a shame as we have stayed some lovely properties when the company was called Pure Cornwall.

10/10 Excellent

Hunter’s Barn
The welcome pack was lovely. It was also brilliant to have the outdoor shower and the balcony for rinsing and hanging wetsuits and kit to dry: it would be even better with some hooks and hangers along the wall to leave wetsuits out. In order to use the (6th) truckle bed in the smallest bedroom, we had to lift and move into the sitting room, an entries set of bedside drawers and to reposition the main chest of drawers: using the truckle bed also significantly limited the opening of the bedroom door. It would be great to have more than one doorstop provided, to help fresh air circulate through the accommodation on hot days. A double set of keys to the natural entrance on the balcony would also be very helpful - as would salad claws!

Very unclean
Although the appearance on the photos and the furniture and layout look appealing, when I got to the property it looked liked it had never been cleaned. Human and dog hair, spiders, blood on the bedside cabinet, and stained mattress covers. Furthermore there is a black mould problem. All reported to Cornwall Hideaways but it ruined our holiday as I was cleaning until 11pm on the first night there.
