Fantastic stay at The Seahouse
Had an amazing 2 week stay at The Seahouse. Really clean home that’s light, comfortable and has a lovely enclosed garden. We would highly recommend a stay here it was very relaxing and close to lots of places for days out. The lady who lived next door was really lovely too.

A lovely property in an excellent location!
We stayed for 2 weeks in the Seahouse, Portreath in June 2021 and had a fantastic holiday! The accommodation surpassed our expectations due to the tasteful decor and the fact that it was so well-equipped with lots of thoughtful touches such as wetsuits, bodyboards and beach equipment being left for us in the shed, an outside tap to wash out wetsuits, hooks on all the doors and lots of coat hangers to help with storage and useful under-stairs storage and an airing cupboard upstairs, to ensure the house didn't get cluttered during our stay. Portreath is a great base for exploring the South and West Cornwall and we made the most of this visiting St Ives and Seal Island, St Michael's Mount, Lands End, Porthcurno beach and the Minack Theatre, Lizard Point and Kynance Cove (fantastic walking around here); also the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Mevagissey. On days spent more locally, the children really enjoyed body boarding and surfing at Portreath and Gwithian/Godrevy beaches, walking and cycling in the Tehidy Country Park and walking on the SW coastal path. We particularly enjoyed the walk from North Cliffs to Godrevy Point to see the seals, then went to the Rockpool afterwards for brunch. My husband and son also played golf a couple of times at the Famous Nine course, which is literally next door to the property. We loved Portreath as it was not that commercialised and enjoyed our meals at the Portreath Arms, Basset Arms and the Terrace Restaurant at Gwel yr Mor. Would also recommend the Hub for lunches and coffee. Would highly recommend both the Seahouse and Portreath as a holiday destination.

8/10 Good

Walking holiday at the Seahouse, Portreath.
Spotless property. Cleaning standards could not be any better. Well done. Good layout in the house and easy to enjoy for N activity based holiday. Excellent location as our walks started from the house and we did not need to use the car. Two things would make us book the property again. Firstly, a few more cooking utensils in the kitchen please (measuring jug, functioning bottle opener, garlic crusher, mixing bowls, scales,) and secondly more comfortable mattresses in the third bedroom and en-suite bedroom. With these things in place we would rebook and recommend the property.

Relaxing stay after lockdown
The property was well appointed and we had everything we needed for our stay. It was a new house in a quiet residential area and very clean throughout. The fridge was a bit on the small side for 6 adults but we managed. I also feel that it should have been advertised for 5+1 occupants as the sixth 'bed' was a pull out affair in a very small room.
