During the nesting season you can arrange to go on night patrol, and even see baby turtles hatch and return to the sea. Boat trips can be organised from the pier to go fishing or sailing. Whales and dolphins frequent the waters of Sal, and are regularly seen. The fishing trips can be game fishing, or a few hours in a local wooden boat. Scuba diving can be booked from several outlets on the beach, and depart from the local pier. Explore the island on quads or electric bike hire.
