Kite Vacation

We travelled there for kiteboarding vacation, for which the apartment was located perfectly. Easy access to Santa Maria, very close to the kite beach, and walking distance to a nice grocery store. The house had plenty of space for 6 people and all of our kite gear. It was hard to keep the house clean due to the dust from the island. The kitchen was big enough, but some utensils were missing to properly cook every day (for 6 people). Overall it was as we expected it to be and Ian was a great and very attentive host.

Home from home villa

Overall, a very well equipped villa, with great facilities. The location is very quiet and the complex was also very quiet during our visit. Excellent shop on the complex and great courtesy transport into Santa Maria. The local beach was easy to walk to and the food at the beach bar was very reasonable. Ian was very attentive and contactable with a couple of issues we experienced. He gave a lot of information in advance, which was useful as we had not visited the island before. My only niggle would be that there is no mid-stay clean when staying for 2 weeks, even though there is a cleaning fee. We receive this service in all other villas that we stay in each year. Also, due to location the outside areas get very dirty, very quickly and I was brushing and mopping every other day at least. Great island to visit, people very friendly and weather very good, with a nice island breeze.
