About this property
Beautiful Maisonette in the Heart of Hackney
Summary:
My home is a lovely Victorian maisonette in Stoke Newington. It is decorated to a high standard, with a spacious, open-plan living area, high ceilings, period features, original art work, secluded garden, balcony, and superb walk-in shower. There are excellent transport links to the rest of the city. This flat is ideal for business professionals (2 person max), individual travellers or couples looking for a comfortable and convenient stay in central London on a friendly street.
The Space:
AMENITIES:
-24/7 guest support
- Professionally cleaned
- Hotel-quality bed linen and towels
- 24/7 check-in as there is a lockbox with the keys
LIVING ROOM
Comfortable huge sofa, artwork throughout, and an open plan into the dining and kitchen area
DINING ROOM / KITCHEN
Dining table that seats six and opens in a large kitchen area with ample countertop space and a big fridge and freezer. The room opens out onto the lovely private garden.
BEDROOM
Comfortable double room, with space for your clothes and a desk where you can work. Feel free to help yourself to any of the books to read!
BATHROOM
Lovely modern bathroom with a huge walk-in shower with rainfall showerhead.
Guest Access:
Guests have complete access to the entire flat and garden, aside from my bedroom which is just blocked off.
The Neighborhood:
The cafes, shops, restaurants and bars of Dalston are a 5 minute walk away, and Stoke
Newington Church Street, a haven for brunch goers, vintage clothes shoppers and designer homeware seekers, is 5 minutes in the opposite direction. The buzzing Shoreditch nightlife is a short bus ride away. Every Saturday the very popular Stoke Newington Farmer's Market, a lovely place to pick up local, organic produce, is at the end of the road. Check out Street Feast in Dalston Yard for an amazing and fun array of street food options on Friday or Saturday nights.
I am lucky enough to live close to many of Hackney's popular parks - Clissold is a 7 minute
walk, Hackney Downs 10 minutes away and London Fields a 20 minute walk. For
theatregoers the Arcola Theatre in Dalston always has interesting productions as do the
Almeida and Kings Head in Islington and Park at Finsbury Park or you can walk to both the
Rio Cinema and Hackney Picturehouse.
This area really provides you the opportunity to live like a local in the east of London, an
area that is becoming increasingly popular with locals and tourists alike!
Getting Around:
Buses go from the end of the road every two or three minutes to many areas of London and mainline stations such Kings Cross and St Pancras International, London Bridge, Liverpool Street, Victoria and Waterloo. It is a 7 minute walk/3 minute bus ride to Dalston Kingsland or Dalston Junction London Overground stations which links to the Victoria line at Highbury & Islington (5mins) or Jubilee line and DLR. Using the Overground and Underground is very convenient and quick. You can be in the centre of London - Oxford Circus/Soho - in 15 minutes, Euston Station and Kings Cross in 10 minutes. It's an easy (and pleasant) walk to Highbury & Islington Underground station in 25 minutes. Travel to The City and Canary Wharf (financial centres) is very quick and easy, as is travel to London's main hospitals and Universities.
