Welcome to our spacious three-bedroom apartment in the heart of San Luis de Sabinillas, one of the Costa del Sol's best-kept secrets.

We have owned and enjoyed this apartment for almost 25 years and continue to return whenever we can. What we love most is that we can park the car and simply walk everywhere – the beach, promenade, cafés, restaurants, marina and local shops. It allows us to enjoy a genuine Spanish lifestyle rather than a resort experience.

Unlike many purpose-built holiday resorts, Sabinillas remains a real Spanish seaside town where life continues throughout the year. Here you can enjoy a more authentic Andalusian lifestyle, with local cafés, tapas bars, restaurants, shops and a beautiful sandy beach all within easy walking distance.

Many of our guests are couples who enjoy experiencing everyday life in Spain and often tell us that staying here gives them a taste of what living or retiring in Spain might be like – without the commitment of purchasing a property, living in a predominantly expatriate community, or staying in a holiday complex.

The apartment is ideal for one or two couples seeking a relaxing stay, with the flexibility of two additional bedrooms for visiting family and friends.

A Perfect Location

San Luis de Sabinillas is located between Estepona, Sotogrande and Gibraltar, close to the picturesque marina of Puerto de la Duquesa.

Everything you need for a comfortable stay is within a few minutes' walk:

• Beautiful sandy beach
• Beachfront promenade
• Cafés, tapas bars and restaurants
• Supermarkets and local shops
• Banks, pharmacies and everyday amenities
• Weekly markets and local events

One of the greatest benefits of staying in the town centre is that a car is optional rather than essential. Many guests spend entire weeks enjoying the beach, restaurants and marina without needing to drive anywhere.

Authentic Spain

Guests often tell us how much they enjoy the authentic atmosphere of Sabinillas. Unlike many Costa del Sol resorts, it remains a genuine Spanish town where local fishermen still launch small boats from the beach, families enjoy the evening paseo along the promenade, and many restaurants remain focused on serving local residents rather than tourists.

The town offers excellent value compared with many better-known Costa del Sol destinations, while retaining all the advantages of a Mediterranean seaside location.

Our Favourite Walk

One of our favourite things to do is walk along the seafront promenade from Sabinillas to Puerto de la Duquesa and onto Castillo del la Duquesa. Along the way you'll pass beaches, cafés, chiringuitos and local restaurants before arriving at one of the Costa del Sol's most attractive marinas.

A morning coffee overlooking the sea or an evening stroll to the marina for dinner remains one of the simple pleasures that keeps us returning year after year.

Puerto de la Duquesa

A pleasant 10 to 15-minute stroll along the seafront promenade brings you to the attractive marina of Puerto de la Duquesa.

The marina offers:

• Waterside restaurants and cafés
• Bars and terraces
• Boat excursions and fishing trips
• A lively but relaxed atmosphere

It is one of the most attractive and welcoming marinas on the Costa del Sol.

What Makes This Apartment Different?

My wife and I are based in the United Kingdom and have owned and enjoyed this apartment for almost 25 years. During that time we have watched San Luis de Sabinillas retain the small fishing town charm into one of the most enjoyable and authentic destinations on the Costa del Sol.

We are not professional hoteliers; this has always been a home from home we have enjoyed ourselves with family and friends. We take pride in helping guests discover the area and many visitors return year after year.

We particularly enjoy travelling, good food, meeting people from different countries and spending time in Andalucía. We hope our guests enjoy the apartment and the local lifestyle as much as we have over the years.

Why they chose this property

We chose Sabinillas because it offered something increasingly difficult to find on the Costa del Sol – a genuine Spanish seaside town rather than a purpose-built holiday resort.

What first attracted us was the combination of a beautiful sandy beach, excellent climate, relaxed atmosphere and the ability to walk almost everywhere. We loved the fact that local fishermen still launched boats from the beach, families gathered for the evening paseo along the promenade and the town remained active throughout the year.

The location is also ideal. Situated between Marbella and Gibraltar, with easy access to Estepona, Ronda, Cádiz and even Morocco, it provides an excellent base from which to explore Andalucía while still enjoying a relaxed beach lifestyle.

Nearly 25 years later, we still believe it offers one of the best combinations of value, authenticity and quality of life on the Costa del Sol.

What makes our apartment different is its location within a real Spanish town where everyday life continues throughout the year.

Unlike many holiday developments, guests can walk to the beach, promenade, supermarkets, cafés, tapas bars, restaurants, local markets and the attractive marina at Puerto de la Duquesa. Many guests find they rarely need to use a car during their stay.

The apartment is particularly suited to couples and longer-stay visitors who want to experience authentic Spanish coastal living rather than a resort environment. It also offers the flexibility of three bedrooms, allowing family and friends to visit during your stay.

Having owned the apartment for almost 25 years, we have always tried to create a comfortable base from which guests can enjoy the best of Andalucía, whether that means relaxing on the beach, exploring historic towns, playing golf, enjoying local cuisine or simply experiencing a slower Mediterranean pace of life.
