This beautiful charming 18th century house with character and the comfort of a 4-star accommodation is ideal for holiday-makers who love countryside, rivers, hiking, biking, forest, etc.
The indoor glamour decoration and the antique furniture will seduce you and the modern fittings will provide comfort.
The antique furniture and the colours have been carefully chosen. The exposed beams and stones and the fireplace embellish the property.
Located right in the heart of a charming village facing the baker at the edge of La Touraine, Le Poitou and Le Berry, 10 minutes from La Roche-Posay, the Gîte des Glycines has a small, quiet and charming flowered garden in a quiet environment (garden furniture and electric barbecue).
On the ground floor, there is a large living space with all modern conveniences: fireplace, comfortable sofa, large and beautiful farm table, beautiful recently fully fitted open plan kitchen and South-exposed living room.

On the first floor, there is a very spacious bedroom with new very comfortable extra-large bed, large office area and reading area.
There are many cultural and sport activities
The Creuse River is very close. You will also have the opportunity to swim on the small sandy beach. For river fishing lovers, a private fishing area on La Claise, 5 minutes away, is at your disposal.
10 minutes away, La Roche-Posay which is a Spa well known for the benefits of its cures, will give you the opportunity to play golf, go to the casino or enjoy the wonderful Spas. Cinemas, music festivals, second-hand trade on Sunday: you will never get bored. Children can go to the Futuroscope (30 minutes away) or you can visit the famous Châteaux of the Loire Valley.
The ponds of La Brenne in Le Berry are not far away
The legendary sun, landscapes and sweet life will delight you. Quietness and serenity are the keyword.

Last year we booked Les Clos but had to cancel because of Covid. For this June we booked again,and our first after covid stay couldn’t have been better. Beautiful old house, tastefully decorated and with very helpful owners. A nice region to visit.and the baker’s across the street is a plus

A perfect week in Lesigny

After spending 5 weeks in Paris we were looking for a location where we could unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet as well as the beauty of the French countryside. We found the perfect place in Lesigny! The apartment in Lesigny was wonderful and perfectly located to experience all that this area of France has to offer. The apartment offers tremendous charm and has all one needs for a relaxing time in the country. Francoise was the perfect host and provided great assistance in getting us settled in and familiar with places to explore of which there are many. She also helped us with the French language which was sorely needed. We got everything and more from our stay in Lesigny and would highly recommend this property as a central location to day trip to all the beautiful places this area of France has to offer.

Een heel leuk, klein huisje voor 2. Een leuke afgesloten tuin, goed voor een leuk dineetje. De omgeving is zeer rustig, maar biedt mogelijkheden voor liefhebbers van natuur en kastelen. Het bed en de bank hebben wel hun beste tijd gehad, niets voor ruglijders (als ik).

Very nice country stay

Madame Alexandre is a wonderful hostess who provides helpful information, pleasant chat along with a cozy gite full of old world charm. Perfect for a couple or even a couple with a couple of children, the accommodations are in a small village that has opportunites for coutnry-style relaxation. It is also within driving distance of the ubiquitous châteaux, abbeys, historical sites and wineries of the Creuse valley. There is car parking on site, a nice boulangerie-pâtisserie straight across the street and excellent restaurants in the area. Highly recommend for those looking for a quiet getaway.

Toller Ausgangspunkt zwischen Touraine und Poitou

Das Clos des Glyzines ist ein hervorragender Ausgangspunkt für gemütliche und unternehmungslustige Tage an der Grenze zwischen Touraine und Poitou. Francoise und Hubert sind sehr willkommende Gastgeber und stets bemüht, ihren Gästen den Aufenthalt im Herzen Frankreichs so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten. Wir haben uns sehr über die individuellen Ausflugstipps, Restaurantempfehlungen und Hinweise auf Weingüter in der Nähe gefreut. Die großen Schlösser der Loire sind gemütlich in rund einer Stunde mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Doch auch das Poitou haben wir dank Francoises Hinweisen schätzen gelernt und waren beispielsweise von der Abtei Saint Savin restlos begeistert. Das Haus wartet mit einer großen Wohnküche im Erdgeschoss auf. Die Küchenausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Als passionierte Köche haben wir bis auf einen Abend stets gemütlich im Haus gekocht. Der noch recht neue Pellet-Ofen sorgt an kühleren Tagen ab Herbst für gemütliche und umweltbewusste Wärme. Das Schlafzimmer im Obergeschoss mit Ensuite-Bad wartet mit einem großen, gemütlichen Bett auf. Wir haben auf der etwas härteren Matratze sehr gut geschlafen. Die kleine Bäckerei direkt gegenüber versorgt einen mit sehr leckeren Backwaren und und einem kleinen Lebensmittelangebot. In rund 10 Minuten erreicht man mit dem Auto größere Supermärkte in den Nachbarorten. An schönen Tagen steht der zum Haus gehörende Innenhof und Gartenbereich zum Frühstücken oder Ausspannen zur Verfügung. Da Francoise und Hubert direkt nebenan wohnen, waren sie bei Fragen stets greifbar. Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt und bedanken uns an dieser Stelle nochmals sehr herzlich bei unseren Gastgebern.

Wir haben uns in Lesigny sehr wohl gefühlt.... unser Vermieterin war sehr aufmerksam und hat uns mit vielen Tipps für Ausflüge, Sehenswürdigkeiten und Restaurants versorgt. Das Haus ist sehr charmant und komplett eingerichtet. Die Gegend ist sicherlich nicht so bekannt wie das Loire-Tal aber sehr reizvoll, mit einer guten Mischung aus Kultur und Natur. A wonderfully calm & relaxing place.

My wife & I had a wonderful time here' a relaxing and calm place to stay. Everything you could need is there and the surrounding villages are well worth a visit...Françoise will give you all the information you could ever need about places to visit, local markets, places of interest etc. We were made very welcome and the house is as beautiful as the photographs suggest. Parking is easy, just outside the front door and there is a local boulangerie across the road open at the usual times for a French village but also Sunday morning, The village is quiet. peaceful and charming with a beach 10 mins slow walk away. We had a fantastic week here and would go again. many thanks for everything.

A la croisée des chemins touristiques de Touraine, du Berry et du Poitou, et grâce aux conseils éclairés de nos hôtes, nous avons découvert cette région, riche d'Histoire et d'authenticité. Chaque soir, après cure et visites touristiques, nous avions l'impression de "rentrer chez nous". trois semaines au Clos des Glycines

Hubert et Françoise vous accueillent chaleureusement dans une superbe maison joliment décorée dans les tons "gris souris" et " mauve lilas". En cure à La Roche-Posay, j'ai passé trois merveilleuses semaines. Merci encore aux propriétaires des lieux pour leur sympathie et leur gentillesse. Je conseille vraiment ce logement situé en plein bourg (face à la boulangerie du village), tout en étant très calme.

Former Parisian, during my childhood I used to spend my summer holiday in La Roche-Posay
As we love old stones, we fell for this house made of local stones located in the centre of a lovely village. In addition, the climate is particularly pleasant and sunny.
We want to share with you our love for this stunning region and make you discover the cultural heritage, that is often little known, such as the prestigious Roman churches. The famous Châteaux of the Loire Valley are very close.
Many leisure activities around the rivers: fishing (private area on La Claise), swimming, canoeing, beautiful hikes or bike rides, 18-hole golf course 10 minutes away and Futuroscope 35 minutes away.
For shopping: Tours and Poitiers are not far away
There are many music festivals in the region.
