Mi Casita is a lovely one- bedroom Casita, secure and privately situated under a giant fig tree with tropical gardens below on the tranquil North beach of Sayulita in an exclusive neighborhood of luxury Villas. Great sunsets from this side. Mi Casita has a king size pillow top bed, classic Mexican tiled kitchen, a shower with an atrium garden and blue water/jungle views. Large sliding screened doors that open wide onto the tiled front patio with a hammock and a really nice view to the beach. There are ocean views from the living area and comfortable leather equipale chairs. It’s only two minutes down the private beach stone steps that curve down through the jungle garden to the gated beach. Mi Casita is a very quiet and peaceful retreat. The driver can meet you inside the airport holding a sign with your name on it. He speaks English and knows exactly where the house is. He has beer and water for you, and can stop at Walmart or the Mega/La Comer stores on the way and wait while you shop. Iris can provide golf cart rentals, massages, catering, fishing trips etc. Mi Casita is a 10-15 minute walk to the lively center of Sayulita with it’s many varied shops and restaurants. Mi Casita can be rented by itself or in combination with either of my two other individual homes, Casa Mariluna, a beautiful three bedroom Villa with a large pool, and/or Templito, a very popular charming two- bedroom house just below Mariluna, also with a pool. Beautiful place. Everything we needed. Perfect amount of space. Beautiful views. Access to beach was amazing. Felt like home. We enjoyed our stay very much.
The casita is adorable! Tastefully decorated with bright Mexican colors and all the comforts of home. The view from the terrace is unbeatable, and the casita is steps away from the beach which is much quieter than the downtown area. We will be back for sure!
Lovely property for 1 couple. The property is breathtaking and it is on a quiet beach right in the jungle. The accommodations were adorable. The kitchen could have been a little better stocked. It has the feel of being secluded, yet it is walking distance to plenty of restaurants, markets and shops.

Hello Margo,
Thank you for the nice review. I will be returning to Sayulita next month and work on the kitchen suggestions. Many times all three properties are booked together and people take kitchen supplies to another house. I will get everything organized again.
Hope to hear from you in the future.
Cheers, Andrea
The property was exactly what we were looking for. We rented a golf cart which was a perfect way to get to town, the property owners suggestions on restaurants were spot on. The beach was a close walk down some stairs, the beach was clean and not crowded. It was nice to not be in the heart of town as the beach is much busier. The property manager Iris was very helpful and responsive. Overall a great time, I would definitely stay there again.
Everything was perfect. The property is new, well appointed, immaculate, and perfectly located. The location can’t be beat. It’s close enough to walk to the center of town, and far enough up the beach to be nice and quiet, with very few people on the beach. We’ll definitely return.

Thank you so much for your kind review.
So happy you enjoyed our hidden gem.

Thank you. It was a lovely stay. Perfect location! We walked for the first two days then decided to get a golf cart. Loved every second! Beach access was great. Far enough yet close enough! Thanks to everyone.
This property is beautiful!! Where we stayed, all you need for 2 people. The access to the ocean is close but significant climb up and down so be aware....easy for young people but for older folks it is a bit challenging. The support staff are great and generally there is someone on the property in the morning who can answer questions, etc.. Very helpful.
We stayed in Mi Casita at the Mariluna property in Sayulita. It was beautiful. The Casita itself was clean, very nicely decorated, had great beach access. On top of all that, we went through a hurricane and had minimal power outage, and once the internet was restored in the town it was back on at the Casita. Never lost water either. All in all it was a great stay.

Thank you for your good review, even with a hurricane!
I loved the location and the unit is adorable, very clean and perfect for two people. The property is beautifully set amongst all the local foliage and flowers. Unfortunately there was construction all around us all day long, but I’m sure by next season it will be completed and then will be very serene. The beach out front is also beautiful however the water can be a little treacherous.

Hello Tana,
Sorry about the noise. I have been assured that the construction on the house out front will completed by July and the house up on the road by August. Then the peace and quiet will return.
The waves out front change all the time, day to day. It is open ocean so there can be big waves, it's a surf town, but you can always go to Los Muertos Beach on the south side for calm waters.
Hope you come back in the future.
Cheers,
Andrea
The Casita is beautiful, well equipped and beautifully furnished. Our only complaint is that the Wifi is very slow and unreliable. The unit was equipped with two extenders only. It seems the same Wifi may be being shared with the other two much larger rentals in the same complex.

Thank you for your feed back. We thought it was a hangover problem from the hurricane outage.
We are ordering individual service for Mi Casita for fiber optic service and it should be excellent then.
Andrea
Mi Casita is a beautiful property in a lovely quiet area of Sayulita. We enjoyed our stay despite the fact that Hurricane Lydia hit while we were there and we were left without power and running water for over 24 hours. One thing we would caution is that they no longer offer a phone and didn’t have wi-fi, so be sure to plan accordingly. It made it difficult to reach loved ones during a challenging time, but the community rallied and we made it through.

Hello Kimberly,
So sorry for the inconvenience. We usually have internet but not often during Hurricanes. Happy that there was no damage and no one was hurt. Sayulita has always been pretty lucky with them by passing us and landing further up.
If you come again come later before the hurricane season. November to June is nice.
Cheers,
Andrea
Could not have been mote pleased! Mi Casita is perfection. Sitting on the north end just below a larger villa, its tucked in, quiet, and private. The space is open, cool and beautifully appointed. Pleanty of modern conveniences. Plenty of fresh, clean bottled water. A quick walk to town to take in the festive atmosphere of Sayulita or 5 minuutes by golf cart. Loved the private gate to the nearly deserted beach. Iris was reaponsive when we had questions. Highly recommend. Looking forward to our next stay at Mi Casita.

My partner and I stayed in Mi Casita for 9 days in July. The location is in the northern end of Sayulita (you can't get much further north), and is very quiet. They are building a house below the casita, but there was never any construction noise at odd hours, and with the doors closed, you could barely hear it. The beach is just down a long flight of stairs and across a little parking courtyard from the casita. The air conditioning was a godsend given the heat and humidity of Sayulita in July! We had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable, although the beach chairs and umbrella definitely have been well-used. The only hiccup was that the housekeeper was on vacation during our stay and finding a replacement proved difficult. We finally did get someone in to clean and give us new towels on about day 7. Iris, the property manager, was communicative and very apologetic about the cleaning service. Overall, we really enjoyed Mi Casita and would stay there again...in cooler weather!
This property is a Sayulita gem. Quiet, clean, peaceful and beautifully maintained. The host is experienced, helpful, and ensures that everything is in proper order. One of the best balconies in the area!
I'm not one for long reviews of any kind. This place is very nice. As advertised, clean and well maintained . I like the area because it's nice and quiet on the North end. It was a bit noisy due to some construction right next door during the week. For the most part we weren't there during the day , so wasn't all that impactful. I will say that the construction project was moving along quickly over the course of the week so I imagine it will be done sooner than later.
We loved our stay at Mi Casita! It was clean, quiet, and in a beautiful location. I would definitely recommend getting a golf cart if staying here as walking to town in the heat wouldn’t be preferred. This place is about a 5 minute golf cart ride to town, but totally worth it for the location of this property. There is a nice path to the beach from the property and hardly anyone on this part of the beach! Great communication with the property manager as well. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back soon!
This property was great and exceeded our expectations. Far enough to be away from the busy streets of Sayulita, but close enough to walk into town, we loved it here. Morning were spent waking a few short steps down to the beach, drinking coffee, and afternoons spent exploring the beach. Loved it! Place was clean, great decor, and great grounds were lovely.
The property was just as described. The neighborhood was quiet and enjoyable. Only drawback was lack of internet - at times. The maid was lovely and very helpful with any request! I would definitely stay here again!
my partner and I had an amazing stay at Mi Casita. The property exceeded our expectations and the host was super helpful and accommodating with the few issues we encountered! All of the help and services associated with the property were fantastic as well. We are already planning our next visit!!

I have been owning rental properties for 25 years. I live part time in Healdsburg Calif. and The Berkshires in Mass. Sayulita has a special vibe and lovely people. There have been many changes since being discovered but still a wonderful place.
