Really enjoyed staying at such a unique place. The Ross was bigger than we anticipated - upstairs living quarters and a nice downstairs living room area. Staff was incredibly friendly. I took off one star because the mattress was a little rough - we could feel each individual spring.

Thank your review Stephen. We will pass the comment onto the owners and see what can be done about the mattress. It sounds more like it may be the wrong way
Was the master bedroom? We are missing a pillow from the twin bedroom. Your review made me wonder if you used it in some way to help and maybe put t away somewhere?
Many Thanks
Charles
We had a fantastic stay at the Abbey. The location was incredible and the apartment itself was well-appointed and comfortable. Terrific amenities. Five stars all around!
Great property, amazing location and a very special building. Apartment was cosy and well stocked. There are a number of steps to get to it and more stairs within the property so be aware of that if you have mobility issues. However, thoroughly recommend for a very enjoyable holiday. Simon was great and made us feel very welcome.

Hi Judith
Many thanks for the excellent review. Always good to hear.
Hope to see you again.
Property magnificent and surroundings breathtaking.
Apartment lovely and comfy ,although it did not have a satellite television as advertised. We also did not realise that the apartment was on two floors but accept this was our misunderstanding !
One small suggestion would be to remove the pot pourri / artificial flowers as they gave a rather tired and dusty appearance.
We will definitely be back though .

Why they chose this property
The Ross at Highland Club Scotland is perfect for couples looking for a romantic retreat and some adventure. It is cosy, warm and comfortable and tastefully decorated. The kitchen is well equipped making this an excellent home from home for the family.
What makes this property unique
In 1729, the British army built the fort to keep control of the Scottish Highlands during the Jacobite uprisings. The fort was later converted to a St Benedictine monastery and later became an Abbey. The Moat House wing of the Abbey consisted of a coffee lounge and rooms for overnight guests visiting the resident monks. Staying in the Abbey is a unique and wonderful experience attracting return guests year after year. Not to mention the world famous Loch Ness. The Abbey is on the shores of this mysterious body of water that stretches all the way to Inverness.
