Frightening neighborhood, did not stay
The check in process was not bad, but once we found the location to the apartment, we were quickly harassed by 2 men. As two women traveling, we felt extremely uncomfortable. When entering the building, the stairwell was pitch black and looked a bit like a prison. The key and lock did not work well. When we were finally able to open the apartment, it was not what we had expected based off pictures. There were stains all over the couch. We felt so unsafe, we quickly returned the keys and scrambled to find a safer location/hotel. The company “feels like home” was not at all understanding or helpful and refused to refund us. Trust me this place did not “feel like home.” I come from the NYC area and can handle most urban situations, but It felt extremely unsafe even during the day.
****Renters beware!!! Apparently this is a well known scam around Lisbon. Better to get a hotel. ***
