I’m so glad you enjoyed your stay and we would love to have you back!!
Last minute reservation. Excellent communication. Host went out of their way to inform me that on one of the days I might experience delays getting to or from property due to other work being performed in neighborhood - did not impact us but communication was appreciated. House was clean and tight. Easy to get to location. Would stay here again.
We loved our stay here. Very convenient to Blowing Rock and the cabin was wonderful! So many little touches that made it feel more like home. Our kids loved the bunk beds and provided games. Stephanie was easy to reach out to and quick to respond! We will definitely come back
We always love our stay at the Dala House. It feels just like our house but nicely secluded in the nearby mountains of Blowing Rock. Can’t wait until the next visit! Thanks Stephanie!
Stephanie is a great host! Very easy accesible and attentive! Their home is gorgeous and very thoughtfully decorated. They take a lot of pride and care in this space. It is close to town and you still feel miles away from civilization. The working fireplace and the gorgeous views were very memorable! We highly recommend their home/)

Thank you Holly! So glad y'all enjoyed your stay and we'd love to have you back :)
We stayed at this amazing cottage for a long weekend (two parents, children ages 4 and 6). The location is great; very close to town, but tucked away in a private area. The property has been immaculately remodeled, and it was well appointed with everything we needed. Also, the owner, Stephanie, was super helpful and friendly, and she gave us some tips about the area when we texted her. We hope to come back!
The only reason I gave 5 stars is because that is the highest I could go :-). From beginning to end our experience was exceptional. The host was very engaging and answered any questions that I had. My brothers, both renovate homes, kept marveling at the craftsmanship of the house. A lot of attention to detail. We lacked nothing.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Very nice and spacious cabin in a quiet and very centralized location. Everything in the cabin is in very good condition. Well located, just a couple of miles from Blowing Rock and about 15 minutes from Boone (bigger chain stores available like Walmart, Walgreens, and chain restaurants). Road to cabin is tight but it is paved and is easy to get to. During my 7-day stay I never encountered any vehicular traffic while driving on the neighborhood road. The non-chain restaurants in Blowing Rock are awesome, specially the Specked Trout. There are not many amenities at the cabin (hot tub, pool table, video games, etc.) except for various video streaming services, but we spent most of our time out and about. There are numerous hiking spots all over the area. Three things that I would add to this cabin is a Keurig machine, some window curtains to the windows facing the street, and maybe a pool table. Other than that, I would say this is a near perfect cabin (with very nice hosts).
Great experience. Clean and convenient to downtown BR. Loved the decor and interior design. Great spot for those of us that have to work remotely while on vacation!
The layout and amenities were perfect for traveling with a one year old! Hang out spaces upstairs and down, mini crib and other baby items available, clear communication from owners. We had a great long weekend getaway!
We had a wonderful stay at Dala House near Blowing Rock. The cabin was clean, cozy, and well stocked. We loved the location near Blowing Rock, with easy access to Boone, the trails around Moses Cone, and many other hiking trails in the area.
Swedish themed "Dala House" was perfect for our family; ages ranging from 11 to 78. Nearby zip lines, canoeing, and rafting for the youngest; easy to moderate trail hiking and drives on the Blue Ridge Parkway for the oldest. We all enjoyed refreshing new experiences.
Communication was excellent and the property was as described in a really nice neighborhood. Very close to Blowing Rock and only 20 min from Boone. We had a wonderful time!

About the host
Your host
We're Ed and Stephanie, and we're mountain people at heart. The High Country has always been our place to relax, recharge, and reconnect—a place where life slows down and we breathe a little easier.
We both grew up vacationing in the North Carolina mountains, and Stephanie later attended college in nearby Boone. When the opportunity came to own a little piece of the High Country, it truly felt like a dream come true.
The Dala House reflects Stephanie's Swedish heritage, with Scandinavian-inspired design and thoughtfully collected vintage furnishings that create a warm, welcoming, and peaceful retreat. We've poured our hearts into renovating and decorating this home, hoping every guest feels as comfortable here as we do.
As longtime Superhosts, we believe the little details matter. You can expect thoughtful hospitality, attentive communication, and the warm Southern welcome we'd want to receive ourselves.
We're truly delighted to share The Dala House with you and hope it becomes part of your favorite Blowing Rock memories.
Warmly, Stephanie and Ed
