Very clean and conveniently located. Just a few minutes to Boone and Blowing rock. Very close to Tweetsie where we took our two year old son. We loved the cabin and the gas logs on a cold evening in May.
A beautiful cabin with everything you need to enjoy a stay in blowing rock. Quiet roads to walk in the morning with great relaxing views on the balconies. Kitchen had everything I needed and will definitely stay again.
We enjoyed our stay at Deer Cabin 2. The cabin was very well furnished and was clean and in good shape. Communication with the Owner was very good and he was very responsive to any issues and request.
Jose is a fantastic host! Great communication and he helped us navigate a very unexpected and dynamic winter storm. I'd give him and this property 6 stars if i could. A few helpful tips and FYIs -- parking is flat and great for a quick unload. Roads are fairly steep -- and 4WD/AWD is definitely recommended. The bunk room is great for kids and adults. Super close to App Mountain. Would stay again!!!
The check in was smooth. I didn't realize that the building had another rental (not connected to our rental from the inside) that was right under ours. Luckily, no one was staying there, but it was a surprise when we showed up.The house and rooms were all very nice and clean. They give cozy cabin vibes, which was perfect for our trip. The kitchen had a really bad smell to it. We had windows open as often as we could, but it lingered most of the trip. The steps are not the normal depth, so we were worried our kids may fall, so we kept them from being on the stairs. Overall, the host responded to each question and quickly. We saw 3 baby black bears and a mama black bear right next to the house from the safety of the back porch. It was amazing! My husband also walked up the road a bit and found the top of App Ski Mountain. We didn't go during ski season, but this place would be awesome for that time of year!We could hear running water outside, like a stream, but couldn't see it well. It was nice to listen to from the back porches. Overall, this was an awesome place to stay and met all of what we needed for our weekend getaway

My wife and I from Pensacola, Fl. to visit relatives in Boone. I found this cabin at the last minute and very happy that I did. It was absolutely perfect for us. Extremely well maintained and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped. Very little traffic so it was always nice and quiet. Our host Jose was great. We had some contact with him by e-mail the day we checked in and when we checked out. He was always prompt to respond which was very appreciated. Great job! Our stay was trouble free. We will be returning to Blowing Rock in the spring and will definitely be staying at Deer Cabin 2 again.
Deer Cabin was such a beautifully appointed space. It worked perfectly for my parents and my small family of three. My husband and I stayed in the lower level room with our 7yr old (he in the bunkbed and we in the double) and my parents stayed in the upstairs area. The listing is a bit inaccurate in two ways, first of all: I had filtered on ski-in-ski out to choose our place and this cabin appeared. But the reality is that the Appalachian ski resort is barricaded at the end where you would access from this cabin, so there is no clear/safe way to get to the ski resort on foot. We had to drive and park there several times during our stay. The other was a happy surprise as the cabin is listed as only one bathroom. It actually has two full bathrooms. You can tell by the listing pictures that there are two separate bathrooms, but I wasn’t sure if both were full and they are. There is a full bathroom on the upper level where the primary suite is, and then on the lower level, a shared Jack and Jill bathroom, which is also full. The was very clean, well appointed and like others have mentioned - Jose the host is responsive and polite.
This was by far one of the best cabins we’ve rented in blowing rock, and we have rented several. The location could not be beat. We were 7 minutes to downtown blowing rock and 12 min to Boone. There were grocery stores and food places super close as well. The cabin was absolutely perfect. We are a family of five so often struggle to rent an affordable place that has a bed for all of us. normally one or two kids ends up on a pullout or a blowup mattress. Everybody had their own bed, and the beds were extremely comfortable! The cabin itself had everything we needed. They had those simple things like shower gel and shampoo in the showers, just in case. There were extra paper towels and trash bags. Little things that you could easily forget and don’t want to have to run out and get when you first arrive. All the kitchen amenities that you could ask for. It was really the little things. The cabin is very well maintained, clean, and perfect for a family of 5 (or more). An added bonus was being able to sit on the deck and watch the deer right below us eating. The host, Jose, was super responsive and a great communicator. We will hands-down be staying here again, and I have already recommended the cabin to friends.
Our family of 5 loved our time at this cabin. The location is excellent, the property suited our needs perfectly, and the host was available and communicative the entire stay. Highly recommend, and we plan to stay here again for future visits to the area.
