Cozy apartment in the Pijp, the lively, green and popular neighborhood in the heart of Amsterdam. An authentic neighborhood, multicultural and full of tasty surprising things, creative shops, sunny terraces, nice restaurants and beautiful people. De Pijp is a hip place to be based, bursting with creativity, life and cosiness, with a pleasant mix of nationalities, local residents, students and tourists. With us you are within walking distance of the Leideseplein and close to the famous Albert Cuyp market with its fresh delicacies and colorful stalls, the Heineken Experience, the Avocado Show, the Sarphatipark, the Museumplein with all the Art galleries such as the Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum, also the world famous Concertgebouw. The Vondel Park, with it's lakes and live concerts is 10 minutes walk away. We are also 5 minutes from the Metro, which is 2 stops from the Rokin, Dam square, Rembrandsplein and Red Light district.

Don’t let the low number of reviews put you off- my daughter and I loved it. Our host was able to meet us early (so helpful coming from the west coast of the US) and helped us with luggage.The location is great. We could walk to sights like Vondelpark and the art museums as well as restaurants, grocery stores, a drug store and transit. You can take the train from Schiphol to the Amsterdam Zuid train station and it is only 2 stops on the 52 Metro. From there it’s a just a short walk.The apartment itself is bright and airy and has just about anything you might need except a washing machine. A laundry is not far away. The mattress was so comfortable. Lots of lamps so you can adjust the lighting as you need. The only problem I can think of would be that someone with mobility issues might have difficulty with the steep and narrow staircase and being a few floors up. They are thinking of selling so stay while you still can!

Thanks Wendy for the lovely review. Just a note on the reviews. In our part of Amsterdam, the municipality only permits owners to rent out for 15 nights per year. I use various platforms to advertise, so the number of reviews per platform is low.

Best Neighborhood in Amsterdam

This property is comfortable, clean and well provisioned. The host is very helpful with local knowledge and communicates promptly. Like many Amsterdam properties, the stairs are narrow and steep, but the apartment is spacious and quiet. The neighborhood is fantastic. Lots of restaurants, cafes and bars and close to museums and markets. Highly recommend!

The Whole Package - Location, Lovely Home and Perfect Host!

The whole stay was wonderful from start to finish. It was our first time in Amsterdam and the De Pijp neighborhood is absolutely a wonderful place to stay - nicely located, close to tram and walking distance to great food and museums. The apartment was absolutely adorable and well stocked. Simon was the most perfect and gracious host. Thank you so much, we hope we would get another chance to stay in this lovely apartment.
