Absolutely lovely accommodation, very relaxing,The pub had a very pleasant atmosphere and served wonderful food, owners were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Couldnt have asked for a nicer place to stay. We are very much looking forward to our next stay here.

I rarely write reviews as we stay in a lot of places. On the positive side this property was very clean and there was a welcome pack of milk butter bread (albeit with a best before date of the day before our stay) tea coffee etc. It had been rather odd to book as had an email to say owner hadn't responded so booking failed and then email received from a holiday company. This company then also send me an invoice several days later for a lesser amount even though prepaid and as yet haven't acknowledged that invoice sent in error. What we didn't know was that the pub closed as we got there on the Sunday and didn't open again till we left on the Wednesday. So our idea of eating in a pub garden on site went out of the window. Access to the rear carpark and garden was also closed off. I did message the owner to ask how we exited it to be told she had left her phone at a friend's and that's why she hadn't replied but no answer to the question. However there is a great pub nearby at Staple and a wonderful farmshop called Gibson's nearby. And then the road, we shut the windows and to be fair the property was cool despite the temperature being around 30 but the noise was very loud and constant, enough that we considered leaving on the Tuesday.

Dear Elizabeth, very sorry to hear you were not happy with you stay.I do use a company to rent the coachouse and yes there can be some overlap in responses because they also use vrbo etc so there can be 3 parties involved. Our website and trip advisor site show the opening times ,Im sorry you did not realise we would be closed during you stay ,many of ur guest dont use the pub they come to see family etc.Blaxland Breaks who we are with normally answer any queries if Im not contactable ,it was unfortunate we were at friends for sunday night for your arrival and as I explained Id left my phone there and didnt get it till later monday.I puchased the bread on saturday the day before you arrivival that was the longest date available im afraid ,its just a small gesture incase someones hungry on arrival along with the biscuits and homemade jam .The property is on a busy main road and does get noisy at times but again many like the convienience of the bus stop outside and near by attractions am glad you did at least find a couple of great local places to go to.Sorry again it was a disappoint ,regards Louise
