NEWLY PAINTED AND UPDATED! This immaculate, remodeled cabin is a perfect retreat at the end of a private road. A wrap-around deck, partially covered, offers a panoramic view of the Siuslaw River and the Siuslaw National Forest. The open living and dining rooms provide a spacious area for visiting and enjoying the river sights and sounds. There are two bedrooms and 1 and 1/2 baths. The master bedroom has a queen bed, a flat screen TV, a separate closet, and a riverside viewing window. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a separate closet. A 5th person can be accommodated on the couch (sleeping bag provided).
The kitchen has been remodeled and completely stocked with dishes, cookware, and utensils along with a dishwasher. All small appliances are provided including a Keurig coffeepot. The large kitchen counter/bar area can be utilized in many ways. The kitchen flows into the living room which is furnished with comfortable chairs, a large couch, and a flat screen TV. A utility room with washer and dryer is available for your convenience. And, all linens are included.
From the deck you may see many types of wildlife on the opposite river bank, including waterfowl and the occasional deer, bear, otter and beaver. A pair of eagles has nested across the river for about fifteen years, and they can be seen almost daily. In the fall, the Siuslaw River offers some of the best salmon and steelhead fishing in the Northwest, and trout fishing from the bank can be good. For the overnighting fishermen, this is the perfect place! The whitewater river provides summer activities like rafting, crawdad fishing, inner tube floating, and fun exploring.
CAUTION: The Siuslaw River is highly regulated, and sometimes rules and regulations change during the year. These moodificatons may not be reflected in the State publication(s). If you intend to fish, I recommend that you look at the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife website for changes.
A well maintained lawn provides a place for peaceful, tranquil outdoor living such as picnicking, reading, games, and watching the world go by while viewing and listening to the river. Do keep a sharp eye out for osprey and bald eagles. We refer to this area as our own little "state park."
The cabin is close to many outdoor activities in the Mapleton/ Florence area - hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, sand dunes, Pacific beaches, and shopping. Close by Sweet Creek Falls, only about twelve miles away, is one of the best known hiking areas in Oregon, with a series of rapids and waterfalls, as well as old growth scenery . Distances shown are "as the crow flies," so driving distances are further.
This property is a retreat that allows for all kinds of relaxing fun. It is picturesquely nestled in a secluded forested area by the river with all needs met both inside and outside. Owner operated and available for assistance.
In addition to the beautiful, getaway atmosphere, this location offers the following:
* Dish Network * Two flat screen TV's * WiFi * Full laundry room * Weber gas grill on the deck * Fish cleaning station * Close to Mapleton for groceries and boat launches * Near Florence and the Three Rivers Casino

Cozy cabin in a great location. This was a great place to come back to after a day of exploring at the beach. Peaceful and mostly private. River access (for the sure footed) was a bonus. The hosts live on the property but they are not intrusive. We look forward to staying here again.
This little cabin is one of my favorite places to get away to. It is so peaceful and restful. Lance and Carol are incredible hosts and I just so and listen to the river for days on end. Highly recommend for a few nights away.
This cabin is a gem. We stayed 3 nights and had the most peaceful weekend. The cabin is very well stocked with everything you might need. The beds were comfortable & the full size washer & dryer was definitely a bonus! The deck overlooking the river was a favorite hang out spot. We even spotted a black bear cub across the river. The owners live on the property & were quick to answer any questions. I would definitely recommend this cabin & would love to visit again.
We enjoyed our short time at the cabin. It was a lovely stay. Owners were communicative and helpful with some recommendations. Great little spot not too far from Eugene or Florence. Loved hearing the river at all times. Fabulous! Place was stocked and had everything one needs. Thanks for sharing the spot!!!!
It’s a relaxing cabin in a fantastic location. You really can’t beat the beautiful scenery. I recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with close access to hikes, fishing, foraging, and so much more!
This river getaway has become one of our favorite homes to rent. The setting is beautiful, the house is fantastic and well stocked, and the hosts have gone over and above what’s expected both times we’ve rented their beautiful cabin!
We loved our stay at this cabin. The location by the river was great. I loved hearing the sound of the rushing river water at night when trying to go to sleep! It was a little difficult to get down to the water, but once we got there it was so beautiful and enjoyable. The house was perfect for our family of three, and the kitchen had everything we needed. I appreciated the washer and dryer because we were on a lengthy trip that required us to do laundry along the way. The owner's house was nearby and they were very courteous and friendly. We would love to stay there again!
Lance and Carol are phenomenal hosts. They checked in on us to ensure we had everything we needed and respected our privacy at the same time. They even offered us fresh produce from the farmer's market they attended one day. The property is a perfect place to relax and listen to the river flow while going to bed at night. You will see wildlife, we saw a bear right across the river from us on our first night. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you Lance and Carol for your hospitality!
Beautiful little get away! The home was well stocked with everything you’d need. The hosts were super friendly and checked in on us to make sure we were comfortable. Perfect place to get away from it all!
The cabin is a great location to get away and enjoy the simple things in life accompanied by the sounds of a Siuslaw River symphony with a few bird calls tossed into the mix.
The cabin has everything needed for a relaxing stay in the woods on the river. The deck and access to the river are perfect. Lance is one of the best hosts we've encountered in many of our VRBO rentals around the world.
The cabin was perfect, as usual. The River provided a beautiful backdrop to relax and get respite. I’m so grateful I found this place and will return again.
Well appointed cabin on the river. Everything was in great condition and it is quiet except for the beautiful sound of the river. The hosts are welcoming and the fresh produce was the icing on the cake.
The property was exactly what we needed for our family of 4! The host’s were quick to reply when I had questions, offered up fishing gear so we could fish in the river, had kindling for the fire pit. Great hosts! The cabin was clean and all the essentials were at the ready. We hope to stay again on a future Oregon visit
We were in Oregon to see family and do some sightseeing, and this cabin was the perfect place to come back to every day. It was very clean and had everything that you may need as a traveler. The view of the river was unparalleled- we had fun looking for wildlife and just enjoying the views. Definitely a place we want to come back to and would recommend to anyone visiting Oregon.
