Beautiful spot on the river. We enjoyed sitting by the gas fire ring, drinking coffee and listening to the river. We would definitely stay here again. The bed is super comfy too. Owner was very nice and communicative.
Peaceful location by the river. Great for enjoying God's marvelous creation. Soothing sounds of the river and great for bird watching. The amenities of the cabin were great. A
short distance to Florence and the beach.

It was a beautiful Vintage fishing Cabin. Privacy was about the only thing I didn't care much for. There are two other small houses on the property and they are all close together you can see in each others windows. Which you could pull the shades but then it would limit your air flow. I guess they share a fire pit. I never found one at the fishing cabin but saw one at the other house??? WS going to build a fire a set out and listen to the river. But overall it was good.
It was a truly delightful experience visiting this wonderful rental. Waking up and having breakfast on the deck overlooking the river was sublime. One note: make sure you have the combination to the lockbox before you arrive as there is no network in the area. We had to drive back to Mapleton to get a signal and retrieve the combination. Once in we enjoyed our stay immensely.
We stayed at Kate’s cabin for a month and loved it! Very comfortable for 2 people (we are in our 60’s). The outside deck, covered and uncovered, was perfect for hanging out and watching the river, especially since we had many rainy days. And the location in Mapleton is perfect for hikes nearby or for a drive up the Oregon coast. Great Wi-Fi. Great bed! We loved Kate. Communicative, friendly and very accommodating with any requests that we had. We would stay here again!
Great place! It was like a home away from home. My wife and I stayed for our 44th wedding anniversary. Far enough away for star watching but close enough for other activities like going to town, the beach, or hiking to the falls. River sound is very relaxing. Owner and staff are very professional and friendly.
This cabin is fantastic! A little piece of heaven! We can't wait to go back! The views are amazing, Kate is so easy to work with and super kind! We loved every minute of our stay!
This diamond-in-the-rough cabin was a good find when looking for a last minute escape from our triple digit heat and smoke. We were quite comfortable with all the basic necessities provided, and we truly enjoyed the large deck and soothing sounds of the river. It can get a little toasty for a couple of hours on a late August afternoon (no A/C), but it cools off nicely in the evening hours (attic fan helps a lot, too). We spent most of our time at the beach or on the hiking trails nearby (Sweet Creek Trail is really pretty) so there were plenty of opportunities to stay cool. There is no cable/satellite TV (just a CD player) so we came prepared with movies & games of our own. The Wi-Fi works just fine, but it was actually wonderful to simply disconnect from the world for a while. The owner, Kate, was extremely gracious, helpful and eager to please. Thank you, Kate for a wonderful stay!
This was our first experience with Vrbo and it did not disappoint. The property was well appointed with a stunning river view. We hope to go back soon!.

Why they chose this property
It's in an unbelievable location right along the Siuslaw River. This cabin has a great feel - it is cozy, but not cramped and it offers a home-away-from home peace.
What makes this property unique
The Oregon Coast range is spectacular and this is no exception. The beautiful Siuslaw River is just down the bank, and you look across at giant Douglas Firs, with daily sightings of osprey and bald eagles fishing.
