Originally part of the castle wall, Cielo Aperto is located in the oldest part of the village and a minute's walk away from the central piazza. Awaken to the smell of freshly baked bread and the pealing of village bells. It has an amazing vista stretching from the clear Adriatic Sea over the vineyards and olive groves to the majestic Sibyllini and Appenine Mountains in the distance.
Walk through the cobbled streets, past the beautiful churches to the magnificent Fortezza. Enjoy a traditional meal served with locally produced wines at any of the village restaurants or an expresso or homemade ice cream at the bars.

About the host
Hosted by Mrs Julia Sterling (England) Mrs Clare Ivey (Italy)
My sister, Clare moved to Acquaviva over 20 years ago and my family have been visiting her there ever since. When it got to the point where our two families had expanded to such a degree we needed another house. Clare, who has many years experience in the Hotel trade had a dream to run her own holiday home. We needed someone to look after our place. So the two dreams merged and the search for the right home began. We bought Cielo Aperto in 2008 and spent the following year furnishing it. Our first guest arrived in 2009 and we are delighted to say our returning guests expand in number every year.
Why they chose this property
We were looking for a property that was part of the old town and full of character. We wanted it in Acquaviva as we could be walking distance from my sister. We wanted it at the top of the hill and had to face south so we could see that amazing view. We decided to call our home Cielo Aperto which means Open Heaven or Open Skies. We feel we are a little closer to heaven up there and the skies go on and on!
What makes this property unique
We feel Cielo Aperto is so special as you find yourself in the heart of an old Italian village. Yet in 5 minutes you are by the sea or in the heart of a thriving little town. The mountains, which you see every morning from your bedroom window is an hour away.
The layout of the house suits any combination of visitor whether it is a couple enjoying a romantic break staying in the self contained middle floor or an extended family which needs the space to spread out over the full three floors of the house on their holiday.
