About this property
Modern Guesthouse Roaring Fork
This house has it all. Jaw dropping property on the banks of the Roaring Fork with incredible views up and down the valley, private access to over 2000ft of Gold Medal fly fishing on the Roaring Fork, perfectly situated in the mid valley for convenient access to everything our mountain paradise has to offer. This property is tranquil and meticulously maintained, a real jewel in the Colorado Rockies, ideal for all seasons with easy access to skiing, biking, boating, etc..
This 1100 square foot guesthouse provides a beautiful and private setting in a newly remodeled modern space with huge views, tons of light, and luxurious finishes. The house features an upstairs open plan kitchen and living space with a wall of glass onto the incredible deck perched directly above the Roaring Fork River. The master bedroom, also upstairs, features a walk in closet and oversized full bath with dual vanities. Downstairs there is a second bedroom (and full bath) and media room, each with direct outdoor access to covered seating on the river bank. The deck features a large gas grill, there is a workshop/garage space for your bikes, toys, etc, and a gorgeous hot tub overlooking the river. Solar Panels and Tesla Power Walls ensure power in all conditions .
You will delight in the alpenglow spreading across the mountains each evening, as you sit in your private hot tub overlooking the river, watching the mule deer and elk crossing down from Rock Bottom Ranch across the river, and the Duck, Geese, Herons, and Osprey flying past your windows.
A great place to bring your kids.
Some of the benefits of this rental include:
PRIVATE FISHING - September thru November is awesome. Green drakes, hoppers and all kinds of mayflies. Always hatches of PMD's and Blue Wing Olives on the Frying Pan River which is only 3 miles away. There is always good fishing year round. A private tributary of the Roaring Fork runs in front of the house and the river is about 100 yards away. The tributary averages 40 feet in width with 9 separate pools. Hundreds of catch and release trout. We are across from ACES Rock Bottom Ranch, a pristine nature conservancy with a path leading across the island in front of the house to the Roaring Fork River. We have an exclusive fishing easement which opens up an incredible amount of private fishing in both directions. Barbless fly fishing only.
WINTER BENEFITS! Direct access to Highway 82, this road is the first cleared and ready for full operation first thing in the morning. It is about a 25 minute drive to skiing in Aspen, and great access to local Nordic trails and backcountry skiing. The south facing deck gets lots of glorious sun all winter.
The fishing is also excellent in the winter. One of the deepest holes on the Roaring Fork is located in front of the property. Go deep with small nymphs and a big brown will be the reward. It is easy to cross and wade both sides as the water is low and slower.
Aspen/Snowmass/Buttermilk/Highlands ski areas are an easy 25 minute drive up valley. Sunlight ski resort is 25 minutes down valley and Beaver Creek and Vail just an hour away.
BIKING - We are in the middle of the Roaring Fork Valley and just 1/2 mile from the 45 mile long bike path from Glenwood Springs to Aspen. There is easy access to all levels of biking close by. If you enjoy road biking, the Frying Pan River road outside of Basalt is one of the most scenic rides in the country, and we are only a mile from the incredible Rio Grande trail, stretching 42 miles form Glenwood to Aspen. For mountain bikers, enjoy easy access to our incredible trail networks; Red Hill and Prince Creek in Carbondale, the extensive trail network in Aspen ( and the excellent lift served trails at Snowmass). a 15 minute ride to glassier and you can access all of the mountain biking in prince creek and the crow, with endless routes to choose from.
GOLF - Four public courses within 10-30 minute drive; River Valley Ranch Golf Course, Iron Bridge, Aspen Municipal and Lakota.
CROWN MOUNTAIN PARK - Just up Valley Road, less than a mile, enjoy walking, biking, tennis, basketball, baseball, soccer, volleyball, horseshoes, and a dog park. Beautiful views and a lovely walk to the river.
ASPEN/BASALT/CARBONDALE - Music and art festivals, shopping and dining, museums and lots of local culture. Golf, hiking, biking, fishing, birding, horseback riding, site seeing--there's lots to do.
WILLITS SHOPPING - Just 1 mile up valley enjoy WHOLE FOODS, Starbucks, 9 upscale restaurants, a brewery, movie theaters, specialty food stores and bakery, grocery, apparel, kitchen and other shops. Carry out food is available, too.
HOT SPRINGS: The legendary and historic Glenwood Hot Springs as well as Iron Mountain Hot Springs are just down the road in Glenwood, and the incredible Avalanche Ranch Hot Springs are just a short drive up the crystal river valley.
