Mercer is in the Fermes de Sainte Foy apartments, a recently-built, traditional style development just below the main nursery slope, shops and restaurants of Sainte Foy ski resort.

It is a light, sunny apartment with ground floor access and spectacular views, across the rooftops, of the Tarentaise valley and Aiguille Rouge and Mont Pourri mountains.

The 75m2 accommodation for 6-8 people comprises:

Ski and boot locker close to the apartment

Entrance hall with boot and coat storage

Double bedroom with double bed, built-in wardrobe and ensuite shower with basin and WC

Twin bedroom with two single beds and built-in wardrobe (possibility of extra bed for children)

Twin bedroom with two single beds and built-in wardrobe (no external window)

Family bathroom with bath/shower, wash basin and washing machine

Separate WC

Open-plan, living / dining area, with double sofa bed or single divan, TV with UK Freeview and French channels, free wifi internet connection

Well equipped kitchen area with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, cafetière

Balcony and terrace with garden furniture and stunning views of Mont Pourri and the Aiguille Rouge.

We are able to accept PETS at Mercer by prior arrangement and subject to payment of €50 per animal per week.

Ski trip

Great location - close to the ticket office, ski hire, shops, and main lift. Very comfortable apartment and great for a weeks skiing. I would definitely book again.

Appartement très fonctionnel avec une vue magnifique. Julian a été très réactif à nos demandes. En été il y a une petite supérette à 3 minutes à pieds qui permet d'assurer l'essentiel. Idéalement situé pour rayonner à pieds/velo pour les randos, ou en voiture pour découvrir la région !

Why they chose this property

Often referred to as the “best kept secret in the French Alps” and “the jewel in the crown” of the Tarentaise, Sainte Foy is where the local ski instructors choose to ski on their day off. Although it is smaller than its better known neighbours, it offers plenty of terrain for all ability levels and disciplines.

It has built up a cult following amongst off-piste skiers, boarders and telemarkers who revel in the extensive powder fields where it’s still possible to make fresh tracks days after a snowfall. It is equally popular with families and beginners as the wide, sunny, quiet pistes are ideal for those just getting acquainted with the joys of skiing or boarding.

Non-skiers will find plenty to enjoy too. There are well-marked trails for snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing or simply hiking which offer breath-taking views of the surrounding mountains. One of the best trails takes you to the picturesque, tranquil summer farming hamlet of Le Monal where you can picnic gazing at the glaciers of Mont Pourri across the valley. You could also choose to try your hand at dog-sledding with your own sled pulled by a team of huskies.

The less active can while away the day soaking up the sun with a glass of wine or a beer on one of the mountain restaurant terraces, or be pampered at one of the two spas at Sainte Foy.

Sainte Foy certainly lives up to the old adage that the best things come in small packages.
