Villa Laura - 350 mts from the beach

We are sorry that the guests weren't happy at the villa. Everything the guests told us about was resolved quickly except unfortunately the damp they say they felt. As the guests would have seen in the news Europe has been affected by very high temperatures all summer and we have had the added problem of high humidity. It was still very high in October. Unfortunately the problem would only have been aggravated by having the air conditioning on at 16/17 degrees in each of the rooms. The plug socket was not mentioned to me but I went to the villa on receiving the review. Yes,the plastic plague has been pulled away from the wall and it is unusual that it was not seen in the villa check as the washing machine was checked to be working and clean.The internal wires were all intact and covered so it was no more dangerous than a normal plug socket. Having said that the problem was resolved within 5 minutes as it would have been had I been informed. The wall beside the pool is made from limestone as it is used in alot of buildings in Menorca. This is a porous material and the wall has a 2cm rim at the base which is blacker.I would point out the wall is 90cm tall so it is a very small proportion. The wall has been desinfected but unfortunately the stain on the limestone cannot be removed or painted.The stain is due to the proximity to the pool and shower and not any other circumstances. I also found a cracked tile around the pool area,and this has since been remedied. The guests were offered a villa upgrade immediately on mentioning their discomfort with the humidity in the villa. Unfortunately the only availability was in another area and they wanted to be close to their friends. The refund was offered as an extra goodwill gesture. All feedback is taken into account and all problems are resolved to the best of our capabilities. This villa has been full back to back since the beginning of April,we have also had a few long stays. Sometimes due to the popularity of a villa it is not possible to resolve every problem between guests as thoroughly as we would like but everything is resolved where possible when guests mention to us .
