Good Location for Town, friendly hosts
This was very suitable for our family. 10 of us including 4 children. The hosts were pleasant and thoughtful and the house contained all we needed. It was in good condition though fairly old. The rooms were fine for a large group like ours. We had a good week and visited many local attractions.

About the host

Host profile image
Ali and Phil have run Acorn Lodge as a Guest House since 2004. Phil was previously in IT and Ali was a Psychology teacher and is also a Life Coach.
Since the Corona outbreak they have decided to tailor Acorn Lodge for Group Bookings for exclusive use of the house.
They are passionate about the Harrogate area and love exploring the Dales for walks with Betsy the Border Terrier. Phil enjoys cycling and they both love walking to town for a few beers and a meal in one of the many restaurants Harrogate has to offer.

Why they chose this property

Acorn Lodge we believe was built to house members of the Taylor's (Yorkshire) tea organisation. The Coach House at the rear, which is now the home of Phil and Ali, even had an inspection pit for the old delivery vans.
The property has retained many of its original features whilst providing all the amenities of a real home from home.
The rooms are spacious with high ceilings, original coving and wood work.
Each bedroom is individually decorated and all apart from 1 are en-suite.
The location is perfectly located to be quiet, yet within a short walk to the delights of Harrogate.

What makes this property unique

Exclusive use of whole house. Ali and Phil, your hosts are nearby if needed.
You can add our extra packages to make your stay easier: Yorkshire Breakfast Hamper with locally sourced sausages, bacon and eggs. Homemade dinner for your arrival. Wine and beer package from local independent brewers (brewed 2 mins down the road!) and wine merchants.
Guide to Harrogate with ideas for days out, restaurant recommendations and hidden gems to explore like a local.
