An opportunity to stay at Brook Hall built in 1835 for the real English country house experience. Magnificent, unspoilt views across the open Yorkshire countryside, with incredible sunrises and sunsets. It is ideal for a short break, friends reunion, workcation or family holiday.

There is loads of space. The Wing sleeps up to 16 in 8 large and very comfortable double bedrooms, with 4 bathrooms. We can provide extra mattresses for children. There is a fully equipped farmhouse kitchen with a Belling cooker and large extendable table for meals together, and a sitting area with a Smart TV.

In two of the bathrooms you can lie in the bath looking at the views - one is a jacuzzi bath. Two other bathrooms have showers. There is a FREE (hired cleaned) hot tub outside with your booking, ready to sink into from your arrival. The electricity is solar powered and all the rubbish is recycled.

You can relax outside in the private, sheltered and magnificent Victorian walled garden orchard on the sofas and sun loungers, enjoy the hot tub and have leisurely sit down drinks and meals outside all together with a BBQ and fire pit.

Please see #brookhallstays where we only follow (with over 50 years of local knowledge) recommended nearby pubs, wedding venues, restaurants, attractions, stately homes, gardens, theme parks, attractions, events, spas, salons and much more to help you plan your stay.

Luxury bed linen and towels are provided. There is plenty of space to park. All bookings of however many people have the entire accommodation to yourselves. Nothing will be shared.

There is also a hard tennis court for (free) booking.

We can recommend outside caterers for any requirements like delivery of meals to save you the cooking.

Nearby wedding venues include Wighill Priory, the Normans, Hornington Manor, Allerton Park, Hutton Wandesley Stables, Hazelwood Castle, Rudding Park, the Engine Shed, Woolas Barn, Wood Hall Hotel, Howsham Hall, The Oakwood at Ryther etc

Ridiculously early departure time!
Positives: The house was large with nice grounds. There was a nice walk to the local pub. The bedrooms overall were nice. Technical issues: • The hot tub kept tripping the fuseboard. So we missed out on the tub on the Friday night. • A few more dishwashing tablets would have been helpful, as would bin bags • The outside staircase up to the building had large spaces between the bars, which is dangerous for small kids. We suggest a simple wire in the middle of these to ensure kids don’t fall through. • The radiators upstairs had an automatic setting where they kept switching back to 18C. Apparently, they needed to be switched over to manual setting, but this was unclear. An instruction booklet would have been useful there. • The blind cords in the kitchen should have small hooks so they can be kept out of reach from small kids as they can be a strangulation risk. Negatives: • The large kitchen area was nice. But it was the only communal area and was quite a squeeze given the supposed 18 capacity. It would have been better to have set the opposite bedroom as a sitting room and had a 16 person capacity. • Normally hotels have a 12:00 departure time on weekends for a reason! We had lots of kids and a few cars to pack and wanted to have a little time together in the morning before driving a very long distance. So, the 10am departure time was really far too early! • We paid an awful lot for the cleaning service. It was therefore very strange to be expected to strip our own sheets

Recommended Stay
The setting was impressive, from long drive up to the house, to the lovely grounds. We had 14 staying ahead of a family wedding @ Bowcliffe Hall and enjoyed both the individual privacy thanks to the size of the house along with the large bedrooms throughout. The WIFI was strong throughout even with everyone using it at the same time. We found a couple of nice walks for the dogs. Edward was very welcoming at the start, but presume we played by the rules as we didn't see him after that. overall the house helped made the wedding as it was great to have all the family together. The only downside was there was no communal lounge as we had to congregate in the kitchen / dining room. Thanks Edward

University reunion
We booked the Brooklyn Hall for a university reunion and the venue did not disappoint. The facialties are as exactly as described. The private garden was the perfect location for a BBQ and a few drinking games. The fire pit was the icing on the cake! Highly recommended!

Great property and location
We had an amazing time at the property. In total there was 14 of us that stayed (there was an additional 2 beds / a bedroom spare). The house is huge with a large kitchen that was our main point of gathering. It was really useful that there was a double oven and dish washer as this obviously helped cater for the large party size. Edward (the property owner / manager) was extremely friendly and helpful and after welcoming us to the property he left us to just enjoy the premises despite just being next door. The hot tub and outside area was great and we had plenty of room. Thanks for a great weekend!
