Christmas in achill
We enjoyed our stay in Marks property, although in hindsight the property was a little small for our family of 5 and dog (the owner did query this at the time of booking). The location was great, and the amenities were good, great wifi and fully equipped kitchen! A couple of improvements could perhaps provide a welcome hamper, as we arrived late, and change the colour of the bed linen as white seems to attract dirt all the more easier particularly in our family. All in all great stay and have no problem recommending this accommodation to family/friends in the future.

Stunning Views, remote location and damp smell
First the good stuff, stunning elevated view, very good WiFi, TV, modern kitchen, adequate heating , electric shower. Not so good, Zero cell reception, remote location so you would need to drive to any Resteraunt’s /bars. Also the hub of activity is the other side of the island, 15 -20 minute drive to Keel/Keem/Dougart. The Bad. Beds are way too small , they are not approaching full double size. There is a damp smell in the house, somewhat mitigated in the bedrooms by fans fitted to the roof. Overall we enjoyed our stay on Achill but if we return we would base ourselves on the other side if the island.
