Nothing can beet the sunset from the deck of the cabin
The beach walk is great. The stairs down to the beech are steep but manageable with care. The house location to ponds ocean and other venues convenient . Two older couples thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
A great beach house with a great location and awesome views. Walk off the deck and down the stairs and you are on the beach. Great sunset viewing right from the deck. Quiet location. We enjoyed the sound of the soft surf at night. The cottage is very comfortable (including the beds!). The kitchen is small but very well equipped. The owners are great. The only negative is that the bathroom sinks are tiny (can’t really wash your face or shave without getting water on the floor), and that there is no beach at high tide. We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again.
The location is great. Great water view from the house and porch. There are a lot of stairs down to the beach, so if you have mobility issues, this may be a problem. Otherwise, you really can't get much closer to the water. There are a couple hours at high tide where there's no beach, so be aware and plan accordingly. The house itself is old and not updated in every way. There is a TV that's small but sufficient (not the point of vacation anyway), and there's wi-fi, so basic modern needs are met. The lighting throughout is pretty dull, and there aren't a ton of outlets - there are enough, but not as many as you expect in newer houses. Again, something to be aware of, but not bad. Biggest detriment is the master bedroom gets hot and stays hot, the ceiling fan really doesn't help, there aren't good windows for a cross-breeze, and there aren't outlets near windows to pull in air with a fan. It may have the best views, but it has drawbacks. The full bed room doesn't get a cross breeze, but also doesn't get as warm, and the twin bedroom has great windows for a cross breeze and stays pretty cool at night.
The coffee maker could probably use replacing. It took >30 minutes to make a pot of coffee.
One last thing: the road to the house has a lot of turns and narrow parts, and there are always a lot of residents from the area walking with kids or dogs, so just pay attention to your surroundings and be mindful of the 10 mph speed limit.
First I want to thank our host George Yang. He was most gracious and very helpful. George answered any questions we had.
If location is important to you, this is the place. The views are superb.
On the otherhand, the place needs work. Some have described it as cozy. It is more than that, it is primative. Id guess it was built as a two bedroom without plumbing or electricity. That was added in the 50s or 60s. And hasnt been modernized since. The half bath is about the size of an airplane lavatory. The only full bath which is only marginally larger is off the main bedroom. For those of you who like us prefer late summer vacations, there is no effective heat source. It appears that there was a wood stove at one time but now there is an old electric portable space heater. Doesn't really qualify. As nice as George is, he really needs to spend some bucks and redo the bath, kitchen and deck railings. Otherwise: LOCATION. LOCATION, LOCATION!
What a wonderful place. We had a beautiful, peaceful week mainly just hanging out on the deck and enjoying the view. The house itself is not fancy but has everything you need, including decent wifi, outdoor shower, a good grill, and perfectly functional kitchen. The owners were very responsive and kind, and have clearly put a lot of love into the house over the years. But ultimately its the location that makes this place such a gem. If you love watching sunsets over the water from your deck or drinking morning coffee as the tide goes out, this is the place for you. Thanks Suiwen and George!

Cozy cottage on the bay!
I have stayed at this cottage three times and my family and I love it. Cozy cottage on the bay with large deck overlooking the bay- perfect for enjoying coffee in the morning or a cocktail at sunset. Ending the day watching the sunset never gets old. The view from the deck is spectacular! Beach is accessible from the cottage. The outdoor shower is large and has a nice wash sink. We usually spend our time on the deck or at the beach but when we do stay in the cottage, there is a large dining room table (perfect for game night!) as well as cable and internet. The half bath and one of the bedrooms are really small-the only downside to this cottage. I have had a positive interaction with the owner. My family and I are looking forward to staying there next summer!
