Beautiful updated beach house

Our Beautiful updated beach house is located on the family friendly Westend of Galveston Island. Has a great view of both the Gulf of Mexico and Galveston bay. Easy access to the public beach and a private boat launch and fishing pier. Fully stocked with linens and everything that you would need for a weekend stay or longer. Outdoor shower with hot water. Gas barbecue grill and picnic table. Master has a king size bed, queen sofa bed in living room and upstairs loft has a twin upper bunk, lower bunk is full size and a twin trundle bed.

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our stay at this beach house! The house is stocked with everything you need. We had never stayed at a house this stocked. Only thing I would add is tvs in the bedrooms but everything was wonderful! Jack was so helpful as well. Walking distance to the beach and relaxing. We will be back!

Perfect get away!

We enjoy the quite neighborhood and the close proximity to the beach. Drive a couple blocks to the beach and park right on the beach. Almost a private beach for the number of people there. Perfect place to look for seashells. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Calming retreat

Our stay was refreshing. The beachhouse was so homey and clean. It had views of the ocean and a great balcony to sit , watch, and listen to the waves rolling in. The house was stocked with all needs and gave the beautiful beach house vibes. Cannot wait to come back and stay next year!! My dream is to now own my own!

Wonderful Stay!!

We loved staying at Jack's home. It was beautiful and had everything we needed. The location is great, just a quick walk across the road to the beach. We took our adult son and his family with 2 children. It was peaceful and relaxing. I loved sitting on the porch and looking at the ocean. I will definitely book again!!

Nice house, great location.

As a large family of 7, with kids ranging from 1-15yrs old, we needed a beach house for our 7 night stay. This place checked everything on our list. Affordable, can sleep 7+, Walking distance to the beach, and a beautiful ocean view. Jake was very helpful and quick to respond with any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and very relaxing!

This house is beautiful and was exactly what we expected. The decor and color scheme was so nice. Jack, our host, was very attentive. He responded very quickly with any questions we had. I will for sure be coming back to stay here. The house was clean and organized. The beds and couch were very comfortable as well. We enjoyed the spacious porch with a great view of the ocean. And only a 5 minute walk to the beach. LOVED IT!!

Great location

This was a great home for my husband and I. Unfortunately the mosquitos ate us up and many thanks to the owner for heads up to ring repellent. The only complain we have is the TV in the living room was too small and there was no TV in the Master. But when you rent a beach property who needs a TV except when you are kept indoors due to the weather. Great home and we will be staying here again. Many thanks for opening your home.

Great place for a quiet beach getaway as well as a birthday party!

We booked the house for our daughter's 12th birthday party, and it was a smashing success! The house was beautiful, clean, and relaxing. I checked in the night before the party to get set up, and it was the most quiet, serene location I'd been in in a while! I had the best night of sleep ever! The next day was the party, and it went off without a hitch! Lots of room and spaces at the house to entertain, including the downstairs carport area with grill, etc.) and easy access to the beach by just driving maybe 200 yards to the public beach access. Beach was populated, but not crazy, so definitely worth it to come down to the West End for a less crowded beach experience! Loved the outside shower downstairs to wash off the sand as well. Kids loved the "kids loft" upstairs, as well as the Wifi access and Wii! Overall, everyone had a wonderful time. Would love to find a reason to book again in the future!

Memorial Day Vacation

Overall stay was good. There were a few things that proved a little difficult. When we first got there, the keypad to get into the property didn't really work (if there was a "trick" to get it to work, we were not informed of this). Luckily the owner also provides a key in a lock box that we used the whole stay. The door was difficult to open and you had to throw your weight into it to open and close it. The property overall was fairly clean...you could see dirt and grime along baseboards and other random areas...not terrible just not "super clean". One of the towels I used definitely covered me in small black hairs, ick. We had made plans to cook for 2 meals a day which unfortunately was a major task. The oven, although it feels hot, took more than 3x the amount of time of normal instructions. Spent over 30 min cooking 1 corndog which wasn't all the way cooked and we cooked 1 pan of bacon that took over an hour making us late in the morning. The toaster burns your food to a crisp and is half broken. The microwave and fridge work fine. The dishwasher had no power to it which we notified the owner and he got someone out next day. Once it had power it still wouldn't run a load of dishes no matter what we tried. (Again if there was a weird quirky nuance to know on making it work, we didn't get those instructions). We couldn't get the grill to fire up either (we grill a lot so we feel like it should be pretty easy to figure out but again could be user error).

Excellent Little Place

We celebrated my girlfriend's 21st birthday here last weekend and we had a blast. The place was just the right size for me, her and 2 of her other friends to relax, cook, and sleep comfortably. It is about a 25 minute drive from Galveston City, but we didn't mind as that gave us space to be loud while playing Cards Against Humanity at midnight, LOL. But overall, excellent little house at a decent price between 4 people. Only issue we had was the AC air filter was bent and needed replacing, but that didn't really bother us. I definitely would recommend this place if you want a weekend getaway on the island away from a lot of other people. We will be coming back here whenever we do decide to do another Galveston weekend trip.

Perfect for our family vacation!

The house was perfect for our family and a few extended family members to all be able to stay together. Amenities were as described. Nice towels, comfortable beds. The kids loved playing on the Wii. Quiet neighborhood with very close assess to the beach. We greatly enjoyed our stay! Jack communicated info about our stay well ahead of time, as well as getting the door code to us ahead of our check-in time. Great host!

A great beach house!

Our family loved this house. It was bright and welcoming and comfortable. Our family of 5 had plenty of room and the house had everything we needed for the week. The beach across the street was never crowded!
