Peterborough Zen Retreat

The Peterborough Zen Retreat is 5 minutes drive to the Art Gallery, Cineplex Odeon, downtown restaurant district and to Lansdowne Street with LCBO, supermarkets, restaurant chains, and Starbucks!

To honour owner Shari Darling’s indigenous lineage, the retreat is built from up to 75% reclaimed, reused, refurbished and recycled materials. It is rustic/modern.

This 700 sq. ft. studio has large bay windows and sits above the Zen garden with trees and flowers, birds and squirrels, water fountain and Buddha.

Inside the retreat with wifi, listen to music while preparing a gourmet feast in our fully supplied kitchen. Sip wine under the crystal chandelier or curl up and watch unlimited movies on Netflix.

This is a retreat for couples, solo adventurers, and business travellers.

The retreat offers the following:

Use of the garden space for reading, meditating or sipping wine
Oversized windows brightening the space and over looking the zen garden
Living room space with electric fireplace

TV with unlimited use of Netflix and Crave TV
Fully-equipped kitchen with designer kitchenware and crystal wine glasses

Relaxation at its best. Home away from home

Very impressed with this stay. It was very beautiful and well decorated. The kitchen was well supplied, the bed was comfortable and it was very spacious. This was a very relaxing stay and will defintiely return.

It was the perfect place to stay when I needed to visit relatives in the area. Private, quiet, charming, well equipped and so much more. There is no question that I will recommend this property to anyone. To emphasize the charm is an understatement. You will not be disappointed. As a single or a couple this Air B&B is so special. I will definitely stay there again.

It was our 41st anniversary, wanted a place not far from home . It truly is a beautiful spot statues / ornaments/ flowers. Backyard is very private & peaceful. Comes with all the adequate amenities! Right from booking Shari had great communication.. the pictures were true to the space.. In fact the real space was beyond what pictures can take... Every detail was considered with care... The cleanliness of the space was incredible. There was everything you needed to feel like home.. Plentiful dishes.. utensils.. pots, pans..
