Amazing Beachfront Getaway. It Doesn't Get Better Than This.

Our home was completely renovated one year ago. New kitchen, new bathrooms, new paint, etc. Beautiful outdoor patio directly on a private beach. Breakfast sunroom overlooking the Long Island sound. Outdoor shower to rinse off from the beach. Enjoy a beach bonfire under the stars. Adjacent to Ocean Beach Park which has an Olympic swimming pool, kiddie waterpark, miniature golf, half mile boardwalk, arcade for the kids, ice cream, amusement rides, Work Out World gym, bar, etc. Mystic Seaport and the Mystic Aquarium are just 20 minutes away. Downtown New London is undergoing a renaissance with several new art galleries, cafés, and restaurants. Daytrip ferries to Block Island, Fishers Island, and Montauk Point Long Island. Several local state parks including Harkness State Park, Seaside State Park, Devils Hopyard, Gillette Castle, as well as the USS Nautilus submarine museum. Daily local lighthouse cruise. Great fishing in the Long Island sound. 20 minutes away to the Mohegan Sun and Foxwoods casinos. The Garde Theater in downtown New London has live performances. The annual Sail Fest attraction has tall ships from around the world each summer. Minutes away from the Eugene O'Neill summer theater featuring playwrights from around the world all summer.

An ideal vacation spot for family bonding and creating memories. New London is home to the United States Coast Guard Academy, Connecticut College which has a beautiful Arboretum, the Lyman Allen museum, and Mitchell College.

All the rooms in the house have new high-efficiency ceiling fans as well as air-conditioners. There is a working fireplace in the living room. All the windows were replaced last year. Washer and dryer on premises. Free wifi.

Do not use any hair dyes or any self tanner in bathrooms it stains the marble tiles forever
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Wonderful New London Beach House

Our 7 person family had a wonderful time at this delightful beach home. The views were terrific, including lighthouses, ferry boats, and submarines on the way out to sea. The house was kid-friendly, with sand toys and direct access to a well-kept sandy beach. There is no dishwasher or microwave, so we washed dishes or warmed up food the 'old fashioned' way. Anna (owner) was very responsive as we made our plans to return to the NL area for events with old friends. I recommend this charming property for a New England vacation or simple getaway to ocean breezes!

Feet on The Sand!

The house and location was exactly what we were looking for. Near the Submarine base, Mystic, and other places to visit on cloudy days. We were so happy that the beach was two feet away.

My daughter who was with us said she felt like she was vacationing like a celebrity. The house has everything you would need to relax and enjoy, located right on a private beach.

Beautiful Beach Beautiful House

Great things about the house: The beautiful beach! The patio just off the beach with the large cantilevered umbrella and plenty of patio furniture! The porch dining room! The beautiful bathrooms! The good sized living room connected to the even larger living room! Individual air conditioning units in every bedroom! Quality mattresses and high thread count bed linen! Things you might wish you had: A Dishwasher More cookware and cooking utensils A microwave A completely empty refrigerator and freezer Access to the master bedroom’s balcony Window coverings of bathrooms’ upper windows Overall awesome house- don’t let the little issues deter you, just come with a few things from home.

Great location for families

The house was large and comfortable. We really enjoyed relaxing on the patio! The neighborhood was great and the beachfront location can’t be beat for an enjoyable family trip. The private beach was well maintained and relaxing.

New London Sound Vacation

The location of this house was perfect. It is in a very nice small community. They do a great job of monitoring and making sure only residents/renters/quests occupy the area or beach. We could walk right out to our own beach. Beach was very clean as they clean it up daily. Ocean was wonderful with very small waves and beautiful views of the sound and light houses. Nice brick patio to use if you don’t want to be on the beach. Enclosed porch on back overlooking the ocean with table to sit 6 or more. The house is old but but has been updated in some areas. Pretty clean over all. Kitchen could be more accommodating. Just verify with owner what is available before you arrive. Owner was very nice and helpful. We made some wonderful memories and had a very relaxing, enjoyable vacation. Make sure you do a ferry tour to appreciate the whole area and all the amazing lighthouses and islands. We would definitely go back someday.

Our beach house has all stylish updated kitchen and bathrooms, windows and flooring. A few of the architectural elements remain as they are so unique and special. The last renter said she was missing a can opener and baking sheet tins. So we now have the can opener too! Enjoy the therapy the beach sound and site provides to your family stay 😀�
