Villa Aurora is situated in a protected area, 10 minutes walk from the coast in a tranquil, secluded setting with cypresses fruit trees & vineyards in abundance. Built on the site of a 19th century villa, the house was completely rebuilt & refitted and is surrounded by garden, with uninterrupted views from the terrace to the coast. The villa comprises of two extremely comfortable and spacious maisonettes (Alba and Tramonto), each with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen & large living / dining room and private terrace area, with a shared sunny terrace at the front of the house. The third maisonette (Elea) on the same property is a small detached converted orangerie - a cottage STUDIO SUITE for 2 people (2+1 child). It is situated cca 30 m from the villa. From the villa it is a short walk to a choice of restaurants, bars, shops, wellness centre, tennis courts & a hotel whose pool can be used by guests of the villa. Strunjan is a quiet seaside village a few km from Slovenia's 2 best coastal towns - stunning Venetian Piran & charming Izola.

Lipica Stud: Lipica Stud was established as far as 1580 and has become world famous for being a homeland of noble white horses- Lipizzaners. Nowadays, Lipica is attracting not only horse-fanciers but also visitors keen on sports and recreation. Among various facilities offered by the Stud farm, guests can stay at the Hotel Maestoso or Hotel Klub with restaurants, indoor swimming pool, fitness centre, casino Grand Casino Lipica.There's a golf course at Lipica, too and there's another golf course just a few minutes drive form Villa Aurora, highly appreciated : Kempinski Golf Course Adriatic, details on: www.golf-adria.com . Good starting point for trips

Villa Aurora was a very good starting point for short trips to Piran, Koper, Izola and Portoroz. Also the beach was just few 100m away. In the evening we loved to sit in front of the house and enjoy the view into the big garden.

Beautiful villa in a wonderful location. Strunjan is calm and quite with very nice beaches. Also a short drive to all local attractions. You can walk to Piran in an hour or simply stroll around Strunjan and get it away from it all. The villa was clean comfortable and fully equipped and an Easy pleasant walk to the sea. The owner is very easy to talk to and check in was simple.

Spacious villa in a very nice setting

We had a nice stay at the villa Aurora. The house itself offers a lot of space with a nice garden where we could enjoy our breakfast in company with hare, deer, different birds and even a phesant. Villa Aurora is surrounded by lush green forests and plants, but the sea is in walking distance and you can start the strunjan trail as well as the parenzana cycling trail right from the front porch!

Sehr schönes Haus in toller, ruhiger Lage mitten im Grünen mit Blick auf die Bucht. Die Mondbucht und die tollen Klippen von Strunjan sind in Laufreichweite.Das Haus bzgl des Mobiliars und der Einrichtung gut ausgestattet und in okayem Zustand. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön und sauber und praktisch eingerichtet, alles vorhanden zum wohlfühlen und entspannen, ebenso Tischtennisplatte und Sitzmöglichkeiten. Nur 600 m bis zur Steilküste zu laufen mit wunderbarem Meerblick, allerdings von der Unterkunft aus weniger Meerblick als versprochen, aber trotzdem sehr schöne Natur.

Tolles Ferienhaus in Naturgebiet mit Badestränden direkt in der Nähe

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in Villa Aurora (Alba) sehr genossen. Vor allem haben wir auf der großen Terrasse gesessen und die Aussicht und die Ruhe genossen. Gebadet haben wir am Hotelstrand und am Naturstrand (Moonbay), die ungefähr gleich nah und beide sehr sauber sind. Mit Fahrrädern sind wir nach Piran, Izola und Koper gefahren. Die Fahrradwege in der Umgebung sind super, vor allem die niedergelegte Bahnstrecke von Italien nach Kroatien. In Portoroz gibt es viele gut sortierte Supermärkte, z.B. Eurospin, Lidl, TUS. Die Vermieterin reagiert schnell auf E-Mails und war sehr hilfsbereit und offen für Verbesserungswünsche.

Just perfect

We (4 cyclists crossing the alps) have had a wonderful stay at Villa Aurora. The villa is perfectly located in the bucolic Strunjan area and in walking distance to the cliffs. The house itself is very well maintained and we didn't miss out on anything during our stay. There even is a table for table tennis and rackets. Ana, the landlady, and her family are very loveable and reliable people. We would always come back!

This place is magical!!!

This place is magical !!! What more can one wish for from a getaway spot? Lovely decor to every detail, a front porch perfect for sitting and contemplating, a side area for relaxing and watching the stars, a generally pristine vibe. It's also JUST off the main drag so the food, thrifting, and supplies are only a hop and skip away. Perfect for families, we'll be back. Thank you!!!!!

Fantastic location

This was a lovely place to stay , short walks to beaches and close to all the local towns . The house was large and comfortable and Ana the owner extremely helpful and easy to contact . We had a great stay and it suited us as a family perfectly ! I can highly recommend it as a fab place to stay in this lovely region of Slovenia .

Lovely house in the middle of nature

We were very surprised by the size of the house, very big with everything you need! Plenty of space to sit and play in the garden. Walking distance to the beach and a lovely restaurant. The town Strunjan in a very nice village in the middle of nature. We visited Ljubjana, Postojna cave, Predjama castle, Koper,Portoroz, Piran, Izola, Skocjan cave, Lipica and we did a bike tour to the salt fields and museum. We went to the adventure park for climbing in the trees. And still enough to see and to do! We did miss our own bikes, next time we will bring them. Everything can be easy vistited by car. We love Slovenia and villa Aurora and will be back!!

Excellent holiday with a variety of options to do

The villa is excellent, there can be nothing better. The house is beautiful, comfortable and equipped with all you need. Also the surrounding area is very beautiful and natural. This is a sub-mediterranean zone with very interesting and rich vegetation, more green than that of Croatia. There is a beautiful path along the top of the cliff. Also, Piran is a very charming city, a must for visit, and can easily be accessed by bus or car (garage). After visiting the beautiful but crowdy Piran/Portoroz you really feel the holiday when you came back to Villa Aurora and listen just to the birds singing. I highly recommend Villa Aurora for all those who love nature and tranquillity, yet there are also some other things to do nearby. Our family (wife+me+2 children) were all absolutely satisfied with our holidays:) Review of beaches: 1. Centre of Strunjan: nice municipal beach with toilets, ice-cream/restaurant, playground for children, the swimming area is organized in form of a swimming pool. A good option for children. 2. 100-200 m away to the right of beach 1. Natural coast under the cliff, stones (shoes recommended), nice swimming in a plain sea. The stony beach is clean. Good option for adults. 3. 200-400 m away to the right of beach 1. Same as (2) but textile-free;) 4. 600 m away of beach 1, also accesible from the top of the cliff. This is a beautiful bay to watch from the top, yet the beach and the water it is not completely clean for swimming. This is a good option for the sunset (at the cross close to the church). 5. You may also choose to swim in Piran/Portoroz/Fiesa. Piran has the most widely open, beautiful blue sea. The walking path from Fiesa to Piran is fantastic.

Lovely peaceful villa

Lovely villa in a peaceful location, within easy walking distance of a pebbly beach. Spacious and well maintained. I would recommend this villa to anyone who likes to be a bit off the beaten track. We enjoyed swimming in the Adriatic. Piran is a gorgeous town, very close. We also visited fantastic caves at Postojna and castle built into the rocks. Looking forward to going back sometime

Villa close by the sea and surrounded by nature.

We enjoyed our stay in this nice villa very much. The house was clean and well equipped (dishwasher and washer) and 2 bathrooms! Airco for hot days! Very nice view and also a very good location to make several trips in the area. Only 1h drive from Ljubiljana. I surely would recommend it to friends and family. We enjoyed also the sea-food in the restaurants at the coast. (Piran and Portoroz)

Dear Ana, Thanks a lot from me and all my family !!! The villa is absolutely great, large and comfortable inner spaces, we was living in both maisonettes (8 person), plenty of room for everybody, nicely furnished,toys for kids, games, table tennis... what I can say? everything you may need!.... Veranda is great!, spent there a 1/4 of our three week visit to Slovenia, nice mountain-salt lake view. The location is perfect - 10 minutes walk to the beach, 7 to 10 minutes drive to all the Slovenia's main costal cities, couple of nice restaurants in 10-15 minutes walk, 30 minutes drive to Italy, to an interesting city - Trieste . Villa lies in Strunjan National Park with pheasants, deers and ...... hedgehogs living next to you (A DREAM). The place is absolutely fantastic, quit, relaxing, clean and fresh, making a right atmosphere for vacation! ....I can continue long :)........ We are coming back! Superb base for a fantastic holiday

Booking our stay was really easy, Ana was very helpful in answering all our questions and making sure we had all the info we needed. The Villa is divided into two spacious holiday homes, we stayed in 'Alba' and it was absolutely perfect for us. Lovely big rooms give it a good airy feel, and it was well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The whole Villa has recently been rebuilt and fitted out tastefully (there's an interesting photographic record of the rebuilding process hanging on the walls). The terrace is a great space for relaxing, as the Villa is in such a peaceful setting. The location is superb, it's only a few minutes walk to the sea front - and you even have a choice of beaches with totally unique characteristics: The main seafront area has Cafés and restaurants nearby and is perfect for swimming - the walk to get there is very flat and easy. If you head the other direction from the Villa you will find a secluded beach at the foot of the Strunjan cliffs, very different from the main area, highly recommended! It would be easy to spend all your time between the Villa and the sea, but the Villa location is also superb for easy access to Piran and Izola (lots more great places to eat), and it was also extremely easy to head into Croatia for a spot of lunch in Grožnjan (plenty of other places within easy reach too). It's also well worth exploring the hill towns in the local area, we enjoyed a great lunch with a view in Korte as one stop on a leisurely trip to visit interesting Hrastolvje. Overall Villa Aurora is highly recommended, we had a fantastic stay and we hope to return soon! :)
