Comfortable & spacious one bed westcoast apartment, near shops, beach and pool.

Ideally located in the popular Sunset Crest area of Holetown on the west coast of Barbados, this stylish one bedroom apartment provides all the comforts of home. The bedroom has a big, comfortable bed, efficient ceiling fan, with a safe and optional AC available for a small extra charge. There is a separate large shower room. The kitchen is fully equipped with kettle, fridge/freezer, gas stove, microwave, coffee maker and toaster. The lounge has good seating, and a television, showing Netflix and dozens of UK, US and a few Canadian channels.
An overhead fan ensures your comfort. Dining is alfresco but under cover, overlooking the jacuzzi pool, where there are loungers for sunbathing in your personal garden space. Watch humming birds and geckos at work in the garden, and at night you might be lucky enough to spot fireflies in the trees. Listen out for the chirping of crickets and whistling frogs and let them lull to you to sleep with their night songs.

We arrived back on the island after being away on a cruise. Moira was helpful in getting us settled in and we enjoyed the facilities of the property during our 8 day stay.

Nice stay but some updates required

We had a nice stay with Moira. A lovely location and great for the local beach, shops and restaurants.. we felt the kitchen is in need of some updating. Unfortunately, the main oven didn’t work but Moira is going to deal with this. Fridge is also okay, but perhaps in need of updating. The general kitchen units again need some modernisation. A nice homely property to stay.

Great apartment

Stayed in Cinnamon Cottage for our 2 weeks stay. Great communication from Moira, leading up to our visit, providing information on hire car company & which adaptors to take. Bathroom has been upgraded/refitted to a lovely walk in shower (site shows old photo of bath). Kitchen has everything required if wanting to cook own meals, storage containers for taking food to beach/pool etcAs mentioned in other reviews, Moira lives in adjoining property. Shared access and through her garden to get to holiday let. She has 2 little friendly dogs. If hiring a car there is a covered car port to park your car which is off road and shady. A couple of very small issues with jacuzzi not working in first couple days which Moira dealt with immediately and got it fixed. It’s a real home from home, English TV/Radio available as was Netflix & 100’s other channels. If you book to stay here you won’t be disappointed. Site description spot on!!

Best place to stay in Holetown!

Moira's apartment exceeded our expectations! This charming, clean, homey apartment was more spacious than anticipated and had everything we needed and more. Super-comfy king-sized bed, air-conditioning in the bedroom (for an extra $10 US/night but well worth it), fully-equipped kitchen and BBQ for home-cooked meals. The house is on a very quiet street two blocks from the beach and easy walking distance from shops, grocery stores and restaurants. Fabulous private back yard with a covered outdoor living / dining space, splash pool/whirlpool (a godsend on hot days) and beautiful gardens. Moira was wonderful - she lives right next door and checked in on us frequently to make sure all our needs were met. And best of all, the apartment comes with free access to a beach club with a fabulous pool and bar and chaise lounges overlooking the ocean, where you can watch the sun set (beach towels supplied by Moira). Holetown was great - small enough to walk the whole town but lots of fun bars and activities - don't miss the local karaoke night on First Street (Sundays) or the live bands at the Carisma Café (tuesdays and thursdays). Beach access in Barbardos is all open to the public so you can walk the beautiful beaches for miles. I can't wait to go back!

We booked a two week stay at the property as we were looking for a quiet place where we could chill out without the crowds hotels. The plunge pool/jacuzzi swung it for my wife as we were able to use this exclusively without restriction. Moira who owns the property lives next door and is always on hand with advice and help but doesn't impose on guests which is nice. Beware if you are allergic to dogs as she owns a small corgi sized dog which has free run of the garden area but is very friendly and quite old. We would describe the property as very homely with lots of personal touches making us think that Moira uses the accommodation when she doesnt have guests. One thing we did comment on was that it would be useful to have a gate between the guest accommodation and Moiras living space as she does have to walk past the terrace to get to her washing machine at the bottom of the garden. Shops and restaurants are close by, including a large Masseys supermarket about 10 minutes walk away. The property is on Sunset Crest and guests are given an access fob to the Sunset Crest Beach Club pool overlooking the sea, and there are full shower and changing rooms there too. All in all a great location and so peaceful. We will certainly be booking the same place next time.

Christmas 2022 - 2 weeks

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Cinnamon Cottage. I have some occasional mobility issues, and this house was within easy walking distance to the supermarket, the beach club, lots of restaurants and coffee shops, not to mention the "open 24 hours" Sandy Crest Medical Centre. Moira is a gracious and accommodating host. She was very helpful if and when we had questions; and we enjoyed our occasional visits. It is very helpful when your VRBO host is also your neighbour! I almost forgot - the plunge pool is a well-maintained and refreshing feature on those days when the Barbados heat gets, well, hot!! We hope to return to Cinnamon Cottage again!

I am a British lady, by birth, elderly I guess you would say now, spent many happy years on the island of Anglesey in North Wales and I find a number of similarities in Barbados.. I enjoy meeting new people, watching them wind down in the ambient warmth of the sunshine, and shrug off the stress and strain of their lives back home. Holetown is a good hub for tourists to enjoy the tranquility of this beautiful island and its super friendly people, whilst still being close to beaches, shops and good quality restaurants.

It is fairly spacious, for a one-bedroom apartment, is very comfortable and has great outdoor space around a jacuzzi pool. Plus its reasonably peaceful [not usually noisy with traffic] and there are lots of amenities nearby.
