About this property

New Construction! Water views from every window, direct beach access

We're back online as of 12/1/2023! Brand new rebuild following Hurricane Ian. Professionally designed and decorated home located just steps from the sand. Location, location, location! 1 min walk to the beach or 7 mins walk to restaurants, bars and shopping.

TWO master suites with king beds, a bunk room with a twin bed over a queen bed and another room with a queen bed and a twin XL trundle. Bathed in warm, tropical earth tones, this home features beautiful hardwood floors throughout the living areas and high-end custom tile bathrooms. The 'upside down' floor plan features four bedrooms on the entrance floor and a breathtaking top floor with 15-foot cathedral ceilings with a brightly lit cupola. Brand new stainless steel appliances. Beautiful quartz countertops. Three separate porch sitting areas stunning views. Additional shaded breezy seating and outdoor sitting on ground level.

This is widely regarded as the best street on the island, with nightly sunset gatherings with our full-time resident neighbors and other guests. You'll never want to leave! All are welcomed to join "Wednesdays on Wilhelm!" A beloved and well-known tradition on the island, all are welcome to BYOB and a favorite dish to share at this fun beach party - every Wednesday during the winter months. Grab you flip flops and beach chair and meet other guests and residents at sunset. Good vibes all around!

Kick back, chill out and grill. All you need is food, drinks and your bathing suit. We’re not kidding, we have it all. Enjoy the most beautiful and undiscovered beach in Florida. We offer high speed internet and 2 extra monitors for remote workers, and plenty of books and games, so make yourself at home.

If you're wild about nature, you will love the quick stroll to Stump Pass Park. There are 265 acres of sandy trails, boating and miles of pristine beaches. The wildlife is amazing. Artists and sun worshippers aren’t the only species drawn to our little island. Our breathtaking beach is also popular with wildlife and ecotourists. It isn’t unusual to be joined by a heron on your walk, see a pelican fishing as you throw out your line, or perhaps you’ll come across a dolphin at play while kayaking the blue waters. Take a walk on the wild side and watch the sea turtle nests come alive with hatchlings May 1 to October 31.

Another fun amenity for the island is the "Stumpy Bus", a volunteer-run free shuttle in the form of a decorated 8-seat golf cart. Grab a cocktail and hop on board to most of the bars/restaurants on the island. They work for tips so bring some cash to share the love!

Finding fossilized sharks teeth is a favorite find of beach walkers and you will find many among the mounds of shells. Snorkel in the crystal clear water for sand dollars and everything tropical. Put up your umbrella because there’s lots of room. We’re just far enough from the public beach that you can enjoy the sunsets undisturbed but close enough (7 mins walk) to the snack bar, basketball hoops and volleyball amenities at the public beach should you decide to venture outside your private beach bubble.

For all you fishing enthusiasts, the area is the second largest marine estuary in the state. You will find hundreds of species in our waters. Nearby Boca Grand is the official “Tarpon Capital of the World”. The area has dozens of boat ramps so bring your boat. We have plenty of room to park. (Local boat rentals are also available through local businesses.)

In addition to being renowned for its fishing, Boca Grande is widley regarded as the most exclusive coastal enclave in Florida and you'll marvel at the historic and famous Gasparilla Inn. Great shopping and restaurants. Keep your eyes open for celebrities, who regularly vacation here. Take a 20 minute drive to a different world! Rent a golf cart while you're there and drive down Banyon Street, one of the most famous streets in Florida.

Don't just take our word for it - PLEASE READ OUR REVIEWS!

This home is extraordinary!
If you’re looking for a relaxed, old Florida vacation with access to the beach, restaurants, golf, beach yoga and amazingly kind and friendly neighbors, this house is perfect! The owners went out of their way to make sure our stay was perfect, from booking to leaving. That’s is the most well appointed home we have ever stayed in. We can’t wait to return!!

Best house on Manasota key!
We loved our stay at this property. It’s very close to the beach as well as the park and restaurants. It’s nicely updated and kitchen is well appointed. Having two master suites was ideal for our set up. Our host was very responsive and helpful, and every light switch is labeled which I loved. We plan to stay here every year!

About the host

Hosted by Lynda Spofford

Host profile image
This home is owned by two brothers and our families. We love sand, saltwater, swimming and especially fishing. We chose Manasota Key because it is quiet, uncommercialized and still represents the beautiful and unspoiled old Florida.

We selected Manasota Key due to its overall ease of access (vs other barrier islands), close proximity to regional/international airport, abundant restaurants and great grocery stores.

We love our return guests who return year after year and who love our quiet little island as much as we do. We have an extraordinarily high ratio of return guests and referrals vs other hosts.

WE ARE NOT REALTORS AND WE DO NOT LEVERAGE PROFESSIONAL MANAGEMENT COMPANIES. We offer more flexibility and will do whatever we can to sure your stay exceeds your expectations.

Why they chose this property

Our street is widely regarded as the best streets on the island. Sunset is a time of gathering every night. Guests may decide to celebrate sunsets from the beach or from the convenience of any one of our three porches. Tradition calls for ringing the mounted bell on the top deck as the sun falls below the horizon.

What makes this property unique

Our home arguably boasts the best views on the island. While not directly on the water, our home is built on 19' pilings and offers unobstructed views from every room of the house.
We leave behind everything for your use and enjoyment so make yourselves at home!
